Pleasant
This is a good hotel if youre looking for a place to sleep. Its just okay. The room was clean apart from the walls. The kitchen food is good and the bar is okay. The location is decent and beach not too far.
The hotel itself was slightly rundown which I understand a lot are still recovering from covid. Unfortunately the pool is in the sun almost all day and as a result is warm like a bath almost the entire day and night. Not the place to have hang around the pool days. Walking half a block down a lane way does get annoying and does feel a little scary at night as it is dark the whole way.

Sex stains all over the sheets.ask for some creamer for a cuppa was told can't help.no circus k for miles..paid for 2 night.stayed 12 hours. Lost money and got the hell out off there.

We booked a pool access room for a night before our flight wanting to just relax by the pool. Instead we were given a room looking at a dirty wash basin used by the staff. Complained and offered a 4th floor room but this defeated the purpose of us relaxing around the pool before our flight. This was not what we had paid for and asked for a small credit to buy a drink to settle the difference this was not approved. Staff were not helpful at all which was very disappointing as we have stayed here before hence our second booking. Don't waste your money on pool access because you may not get what you want. If I could have cancelled and moved I definitely would have

Our immediate reception was the staff all so kind and helpful, always willing to help and talk with us. It was a pleasure to talk to the staff and have a giggle. Room was big & so was the bed. Nice feature having room Service. Pool was nice
Not enough drink selection to choose from was either beer or coke or water. Not enough space to hang up we clothes for the people staying downstairs so they would accommodate the pool deck chairs with their wet swimming clothing and towels which use up space for other members of the hotel staying to use the deck chairs for those wanting to lounge around the pool

Beautiful little gem tucked away from all the noise. Not 5 star but comfortable, clean and absolutely perfect for what we wanted

The hotel was clean and tidy and just how it looked in the pictures. The pool was lovely and always clean. I did not order breakfasts, but had a few there. I would rate them about 5/10 only because there were lots of other restaurants nearby. Staff were really nice and friendly, especially Ariana. Always there to help when needed. Service was great.
I didn't like the long driveways and walkway to the beach, especially when you are an older woman and coming home at night was an issue until I got security approval to walk thru the hotel driveway to the beach. The last night before I travelled home I had to call the reception twice because there were drunk people in the room below because of loud weird music, which vibrated and thumped through the walls. This was not the fault of the hotel and once they found the problem room they shut it down very quickly. Unfortunately it started again at 4am. By the time it had woken me up the staff were already onto it. The cleaners were not good at replenishing supplies and on occasions I had to call the reception for things like soap and toilet paper. They were always very obliging and did it straight away.

Hotel should have a prominent sign at the main road to direct visitors to the hotel which is located at the end of a narrow lane. Some Grab drivers had a tough time getting to the hotel.

Cheap & location
Very basic. Room felt dirty. I wore flip flops in the shower. The shower curtain was revolting but they changed it when asked. The bed was fine. Breakfast was basic but ok. The worst part was having to walk up a dark lane at night time to access the hotel. We were accosted by 6 barking dogs which appeared to come out of a disused piece of land in the dark lane. We were not the only guests this happened to. Our return flight was a midnight and check out was 11am (?). We asked on arrival, during our stay and again the day before if we could extend the room by paying for an extra night. We kept getting fobbed off come back later until finally they said they were fully booked the night before we were due to check out. We went straight to the neighbouring hotel (Aq-ua) & paid $60 for a room. Chaya hotel were angry we had done that and miraculously they had a last minute cancellation. Perhaps they had but they didnt tell us and were annoyed with us which was disappointing. Finally, our opinion is pay a little bit more by booking somewhere else. The Aq-ua was in a fab location, with much better facilities and rooms.
