Very Good
Grote kamer
Geen warm water
Airco zeer matig
Veel druk om naast een trek ook andere dingen te boeken, tip... rustig rondkijken voor je meer dan een trek boekt.
Wel logisch dat je die in het hotel boekt, dat maakt je kamer zo goedkoop

Great location, between river and jungle. We had a couple blackouts during our two stays- these were across the whole town, not just at Junia. Friendly helpful staff! Wonderful local tuk tuk your was arranged for us - highly recommend this !!

Very friendly staff, good food, perfect natural environment. Our jungle trekking guide Aman is literally the best guide ever. He speaks fluent english, super professional, funny and agile. He did his best to get us closer to orangutans, and introduced many facts about different plants&animals. I 100% recommend this hotel and our guide Aman.

Wonderful
Simple but beautiful guest house by the river. The team at Junias could not have done more for us. The trekking in the jungle was fantastic and we saw 12 orangutans plus lots of other wildlife. The rafting down the river was also great fun. They organised cars to and from the airport and we even asked for some washing to be done at 2pm on Saturday and it was back by 8pm , beautifully clean and dry. Fantastic service, friendly team and a beautiful location.
There really wasnt anything to complain about.

Really nice location right next to the river and the jungle. Excellent Food and very nice staff!!
Its something nobody can change due to being in the jungle the electricity didnt work all the time so you sometimes couldnt use the fan or the charging stations, but that wasnt that big of a problem and didnt influence our stay that much!

Its a lovely place close by the river. The stuff is very friendly and eager to help. The rooms are nicely decorated in a local style.
They have a beautiful planted garden. The food was decent. The stuff helps with organisation and issues like transportation and jungle trekking. We did a 1 night treck and it was fun and adventurous, but be careful and bring your own water for all days, because we had food poisoning afterwards. Thats why we stayed longer.
We changed the room, the first one didnt smell so good, but the second one was nice. There is only cold water.

The stay at Junia was amazing. We felt at home since we arrived. We enjoy the location, our cottage with terrace, the food (specially the banana chocolate pancakes) and of course the staff.
We made the 2 days trekk in the jungle and it was one of a lifetimr experience. Best part was getting to know Andre, our guide. He showed us his love for the jungle and we enjoy every moment together. He made our experience even more espectacular.
thank you Junia, we will surely come back!

Wonderful
Great place close to the jungle with friendly staff and really good tourguides - especially Roy. We had a nice room with a good view.
So close to the jungle you will find the occassional gekko in your room - and their droppings on the floor - and you will we woken up by macaques running and jumping on the roof. That's not always nice, but adds a little charm to your stay here. There are a lot of mosquitos and there wasn't a good mosquito net, so bring your own.

The location is spot on, just by the river. Set in a beautiful garden. Just a few minutes walk there is a perfect spot for swimming. Which our kids just loved! The staff is super super friendly. The food is delicious, we ate there all the time and it was just perfect! The rooms are perfect, clean, with a nice sitting area in front. And a bonus is the animals and especially monkeys are around.
We booked two tours with junia that both were amazing. One rafting tour down stream. We had so much fun with our guide Moogly (I hope inspelen this right). He brought fruit at one of our stops, we stopped twice for swimming and he is just wonderful with kids. Making nature hats, it was so worth it!
The two day jungle trek we also booked with junia again with our guide Moogly. He knows so much about the jungle, is really experienced, made the long hike really fun also for our 6years old son and we saw so many animals. The night at the camp by the river was so special with amazing food! While watching an orang oetan making his best! Wow! The tents are actually really decent and the whole experience was an experience of a lifetime. We even got to swim at a gorgeous waterfall!
Thanks everybody at junia for making our stay a memorable one for our family

Very Good
Nice hotel, great Jungle-track, good food, helpful stuff.
Internet only available in the common area (which is also home to some mosquitos that manage to get past my repellent in the evening). No hot or warm water in the shower can be a bit uncomfortable (some recommendation for the next improvement: put some pipes on the roof, that works well for mountain huts, that I visited, to have some solar-heated warm water in the afternoon).
