A pleasant hostel. Staff great. Dorm space very small for 4 beaded, but bed space good, mattress rather soft and bouncy but ok to sleep. Showers ok, hot water, but pressure not great and heads need cleaning as spray is iffy. Kitchen is poor standard, 1 hob, untidy and doesn’t look too hygienic, lots of ants crawling about. Fridge space minimum and could do with a defrost and clean. Location is ok.
It’s ok, just needs a bit of care and attention, especially in the kitchen.

As always, I was so ready to get out of the city while backpacking, and Jakarta was no different from Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur in triggering that. If you feel like me, then Bandung is best used as just a base for visiting Kawah Putih and Rengganis.
Buton Backpacker Lounge was a bit tricky to find. The rooms were decent though not quite what I expected given the ratings. At first I felt a little discomfited, but the staff completely turned things around because they were incredibly friendly. I also booked my tour through them.
Bandung does have some highlights other than the crater and hot springs, like the Angklung performance and the stunning scenic route from Jakarta, but beyond that I’d say get outta there and head somewhere quieter.

Wonderful
Loved the pod, it was so cosy and comfortable. I had a lovely 3 night stay here. Staff were friendly, good hot shower. I would recommend asking for a top bunk if you would like more space - that's what I had and it was in between a single and double size. I saw that the lower pods were narrower and the size of a single.

Wonderful
Was a great 2 nights stay there after Jakarta trip. This hostel is very close to Bandung Train Station, exactly in the heart of bandung city. Handy to go everywhere. Even the location is just at a small street, housing area, but pretty easy for you to find everything. Shops, food street, Pascal area, mall and some other hotels there. Staff were kind hearted and helpful. Was a blackout light at the time I stayed there but quick response from them. Keep smiling even they speak little English only. I've got bunk bed, quite small size bed, again it's comfort to have a rest in. Worth for your money, worth for backpackers. Would be back for sure. Thanks guys
Sounds of vingcards of bunk bed was noisy. Hard to open and hard to close. I saw one lady in LIVING ROOM, HAVING AN ELECTRIC CIGARETTES, again in living room. She made a smoke inside and many people there. The staffs must remind who smoke either electric or cigarettes, respecting those who are not smoking. Please. Or kindly put a sign SMOKING ISN'T ALLOWED. because I saw there is a designated area for smoking outside

Spacious bunks, but not that big tho. Ideally a good place if you are departing from and to the train station. There are also motorcycle rentals available nearby. There are also different convenient stores & an ice cream shop nearby.
Far from city point. Reception area is a bit of a mess.

The capsules are super comfortable. They have AC, while inside the capsule to have access to the wifi all you have to do is scan a barcode. The hostel will also provide you with a towel and they will suggest tours to help you explore the surrounding area.
There was a comment that mentioned that the hostel seems to be inserted in someone's family house, and it's true. The rooms are in a closed room, but will will have to walk by the family's kitchen and living room. It can be a little bit strange by European standards.

Disappointing
Location and the owner was lovely.
Not as pictured or advertised. Kitchen unusable. No laundry services available. Broken sink that flooded half the room. Mold on the walls. Dirty reception area.
We ended up leaving after 1 night but didn’t mention it and paid full price as we felt bad as the owner was so lovely. Capsule room seemed much cleaner.

Pleasant
Conveniently located, walking distance from the train station. Comfortable pods. The host was very helpful at the reception.
Not very social as there is no space for socializing and the place had only a small number of guests.

Outside of the capsule the accomadation was not very clean. Pictures didn't match up to reality but it was cheap and cheerful for one night
