Friendliness of stuff, beautiful area, quietness and pacification. Amazing massage, the best in Bali.
That was my fault I didn't pay attention there's no air conditioning.
It's a bit too hot to stay for long periods of time without a/c
Again, if you are aware of this ahead of time and absolutely okay with that, you'll love the place 10+!

The breakfasts & food on the menu was great at Villa Boreh, including their homemade bread, which is good because the distance to anywhere else is a bit far! The staff were very kind and attentive and the grounds were lush and beautiful, with many statues and sacred areas, and very tall trees. The hornbill is a gorgeous friendly bird which moves around the resort freely. I had a spa treatment and it was excellent, well organised, and the spa room was the best Ive been in- surrounded entirely by ponds and the sound was so relaxing. Our 2 room bungalow was split level with steep stairs, enormous beds, mosquito nets with fans. Very authentic traditional grass room and open air (but does have 2 types of curtains!) The 2 pools were lovely, with views overlooking the sea. Lots of places to sit during the day, and lovely atmosphere at night. There is a tiny gym on the grounds too, but there isnt a fan in there.
The staff are doing really well here and nothing I didnt like!

The setting among nature was beautiful. Spacious rooms and magnificent grounds. The perfect place to just lie back and relax.
Not being able to make a cup of tea in our bungalow was a big disappointment. No fridge. For the price I expected more room facilities. The beach is too rocky to swim from - we tried.

This is a very special place not only in terms of Bali but the whole South East Asia. This retreat is the place where you find real peace and quiet. It is created for people who need to unwind. That means that owners make a real effort not to disturb the peace of any of the quests. There is no music at the restaurant, there is no music at the pool, no music in Spa. Instead, you meet nature - the sound of the sea, birds, frogs, streams, and all local fauna and flora including roosters at 5 am :). All maintenance works are done manually, swiping, and cutting grass; nothing noisy is used, which makes this place so unique. Apart from the cleanliness and quality of materials of the Balinese houses, bathrooms, and common places, there are very few guests at the same time. There is also a house pet - a tamed hornbill - that adds to the uniqueness of this place. I need to mention the Villa team - a very warm and caring people! Also, the trips offered here are unique. You can learn how to do Balinese offerings, you can also do cultural trip, go to the real Balinese houses and try to understand their day-to-day. I travel a lot, but there are single places with the soul during the last 2 years of my travel - and this is a gem among them!
The only minus is that to get to the Villa you have to somehow get yourself to the north of Bali. This asks for additional effort and funds. But its worth it!

Breakfast was delicious and healthy.
The mosquitoes loved to bite me, but that was not the fault of Villa Boreh, that's nature. Villa Boreh staff provided a lotion to ward off the mosquitoes, so that was great.

The location; the environment - the gardens are beautiful; the designs of the villas; the restaurant setting by the poolside and sea; the staff are so helpful and warm and friendly - nothing is too much trouble for them; the spa treatments; the early morning boat trip; the pool and pool area; the beautiful, friendly tucan that lives there; Pretty much everything! We spent a truly wonderful, relaxing and rejuvenating two night at the Boreh and would love to return.
The food was good but not exceptional. The bathroom, although beautiful in design, attracted very large ants that were crawling all over the toilet at various times of the day. Perhaps that is unavoidable given the setting.

The staff were really nice and helpful. The food was the best value for money that we got in Indonesia (plenty of protein and veggies). The juices were very good.
The room was great, super comfortable.
If you are looking for a place to relax and recharge your batteries, then don't look further.
The place is located around 4 hours from the airport and you can organise pick-up with the property.

We will definitely go back to this amazing place.

Staff, particularly going around with Ari was like being at home. Hospitality by Putu and Chan was at the best. must stay for a calm and layback, away from busy schedule life. not for sea activities or party people. if you want to unwind doing nothing and at serene place, this is for you.

well, it is very difficult to say because everything was amazing! The personal is just outstanding. They were so helpful and nice. I spent my birthday there and they prepared for me a very nice surprise. I can only say, this accomodation is a 11/10. If we are in Bali again, we would definitly come there.

The staff were all really nice. Our villa had a spacious outdoor bathroom with a shower (but we changed from another villa of a similar standard that did not have an outdoor bathroom and it looked pretty dark in there). The bathroom was bright and had some plants growing in there. The shower head worked well and the water was hot. There was daily housekeeping. The garden was maintained well and the pool cleaned daily. Lots of trees and greenery. One of the pool had very little chlorine so our little daughter could use it safely. There was a big degree of intimacy as the villas are spread well apart. It was quiet at night, except some birds screaming at the sunrise, but this is the nature so I enjoyed being woken up actually. There is a choice of different types of accommodation in the resort. Two lovely looking swimming pools and deck chairs. Lots of shade, towels by the pool and nice juices on the menu. A toucan bird-mascot was entertaining (although Im not a fan of keeping wildlife as pets, this bird has been there for many years and it is old nowand looking quite used to the place).
The food quality was not adequate to the price of the resort, especially that there are additional charges on top of the actual price written in the menu (tax, service charge etc). We tried different options from the card but were disappointed almost with everything (except the juices). Travelling for 11 weeks around this part of Indonesia we felt trapped for the first time because of no healthy options for our 3 years old daughter to choose from and because of the fact that there were no other restaurants around. We were driving on a motorbike around 15-20 minutes one way to reach the warung with some decent food and good ambience. Not all juices from the menu available. Very limited choice of vegetables. The rooms in the villas were quite dark compared to other places we stayed, although very clean. No fridge in the room so we had to store milk and drinks in the main restaurant fridge. Breakfast did not impress us with anything yummy. Same with lunch and dinner. The accommodation was non refundable what actually affected our plans. I did not notice that when booking so my bad.

The tranquil serenity, excellent staff, and beautiful location were second to none. The freshest vegies and fruit grown on site and used to create delicious meals.

I literally love everything about this place! The bed and pillows and zero noise barrier to your neighbor may be bothersome to some...But honestly, the place is so magical and beautiful even that didn't bother me. I live in Bali and will be frequenting this place for sure. Albiet BYOP (Bring Your Own Pillow) ... but hey... I'm a pillow snob! I had a facial and hair treatment with Trisna that was divine.. And a massage the next day with Sri that was also great!

Asking setting with superb staff. The grounds are spectacular and the booking.com photos don't do it justice. My children were especially fond of the hornbill called Bella. It's a really special place. Great massages,

Food was a good average.
Great place to relax.
The introduction needs refining. Would prefer to go straight to our room on arrival rather than a tour of the property. Ants in the bedroom including the bed and toilet bowl. Food was a little pricey once 21% was added onto the price. Not a place for those who like activity or exploring the local area on foot.

The villa is exactly what i thought Bali would be. It is a peaceful place where you can enjoy the nature. The Spa is great, stuff very friendly, the place is clean and very well organized.
The location is far from the airport, make sure to book a car in advance. The food options are a bit limited but tasty.
