The property itself is beautiful, with private rooms/houses in beautiful Balinese style. The garden is very well maintained. We were the only guests so we had the swimming pool to ourselves. Its located between stunning rice fields and is perfect for some peace and quiet. Staff were also wonderful and very welcoming.
The food is just not up to standard and its very remote so there are very limited dining options nearby. Krambitan is an unpleasant 20 minute walk over a busy road. The breakfast menu desperately needs to be improved. Dinner can be ordered a day in advance, but from pretty much the same menu as breakfast and therefore also needs improving. We understand that its not profitable to have a chef on site with the limited visitors that come to this area, but both the quality and choices need substantial upgrading to attract any sort of repeat custom. Rooms could also do with an upgrade, but this can be forgiven by the stunning outside areas.

The resort was in a remote location far from the usual tourist trappings. The accommodation was wonderful. We took our 3 children there who loved the bungalows, pool and remoteness.

Sanyas Retreat is the ideal place to enjoy the quiet side of Bali. The hotel is very confortable with all services including a wonderful swiming pool but it's also very well integrated in its environment.
Should avoid the use of plastic for water bottles and else.

My kids, my mum and I stayed here and had a fabulous time. If you looking for somewhere peaceful surrounded by jungle and rice paddies this is the place. We stayed in Villa Manggis (known as villa Mangosteen), i recommend this villa. it was a beautiful 'traditionally made' Wooden house. And we had our own private pool which felt very special. We could also use the larger 'general' pool aswell. Breakfast was yummy. The lady who runs the place, Ayu , was so very lovely and friendly and helped us with anything we needed. All the staff were lovely. I will be recommending this place to my friends. Thanks again.
Possibly having a small kitchen would be useful, even just a basic one. As a kettle and fridge usually is enough for us (if we are close by to resturants). But as resturants arent nearby it's hard to access food for lunch and dinner without the GRAB app.

Staff were very friendly. Location is a very peaceful area but only a short drive (15min) to the main town of Tabanan. Rooms are well equipped and comfy. Good to have your own car if you're planning to stay a while as it is fairly remote. Pool was great and very clean, and grounds still nicely maintained considering the current lack of tourist situation. Overall a very peaceful and tranquil get away in a calming setting.
Staff although friendly, we're a little lacking in info. Only on day three, as their restaurant serves breakfast only, did we find out we could use Gojek for dinner deliveries.. Due to COVID we decided against daily room servicing and cleaned our own rooms. Despite being there 12 days, the staff never asked during breakfast (that we had daily) "oh is there any extra things you need for your room today" etc. We always had to prompt and ask first. Although it does say it in the guest welcome manual somewhere, paths and walkways are extremely slippery in the wet, I feel over on day 2, injuring my ankle and lost a bit of skin. I think this should be the 1st thing every guest is told upon arrival (and how to get dinner). So basically, just a little bit of vital into and a bit of anticipation would have helped a lot.

Had such a beautiful day at the Sanyas Retreat! The property itself is so beautiful and was such a nice surprise- surrounded by nature, hand woven lanterns, a duck pond and well built walkways! The room is just as lovely, with a huge (and extremely comfortable) bed, plenty of cupboard space, one of the prettiest bathrooms Ive ever seen (with a bath & a shower), a tv with tons of stations to choose from, a fridge and our own private garden area. The facilities at The Sanyas Retreat were also great, with safe on-site parking, a beautiful pool area and even a gym if we felt like letting off some steam! My favorite part about our stay was the customer service, we felt really at home because the staff went out of their way to make sure we were accommodated. When we arrived we were helped with our bags and welcomed with a fruit basket and water in our room, Putu helped us get dinner on 2 separate occasions even though we ordered really late, Ayu gave us really good advice & tips on Bali as well as helped us with payments and breakfast and Maddy helped us out with our early 6am check out!
The Sanyas Retreat is located in the heart of Tabanan, but away from all the noise! The neighborhood has a really local feel to it, and represents a lot of what Bali stands for which we loved. Thank you for the wonderful stay Sanyas Retreat, we will definitely be back.

Spacious room, quiet place to stay, and has beautiful landscape.
Seems they do not clean the room regularly. Many small insects, also bee hive in the toilet. No aircon in the living room, don't have proper kitchen for the villa.
