We loved our stay but were kind of surprised that we needed to pay a surcharge on check out.

We ate dinner and breakfast. Dinner was sub par... overcooked meat. Breakfast so so. Lovely restaurant and the staff tried very hard to be helpful and cheerful.

Bugs, but you are in the middle of a forest so unavoidable, the staff do an amazing job with bed nets and didnt have any mosquitos issues.

I felt like I was scammed. The property was in the middle of construction when I stayed there. It was super noisy, super dusty everywhere, a lot of workers. Couldn't use the swimming pool as there was construction with tons of workers staring. It seems that they use money from rent to finish their construction. But they don't say you in advance that you will sleep at the construction site. It's not like there is a hotel and a small construction as minor disturbance, no. There was a real fully active construction site and I didn't feel like a guest at all, I felt like I was a disturbance for them, not vice versa. Terrible experience. Also they came to my room uninvited and unannounced to charge for the stay, some mid-age thing.. Never again. And I wouldn't recommend. I doubt that people who don't care about guests now will behave differently in future even when the construction will be finished.

We specifically booked one of the two 2 bedroom private pool villa to ensure we could enjoy the view from our private pool. On arrival the pool looked a little cloudy, by mid afternoon it had begun to turn green and the pool was unusable. We contacted the manager Ari (who is only available via WhatsApp) who assured us by morning the water would be clear, so we had no use of the pool that day. Next morning the pool was green and totally unable to be used so we again contacted the manager Ari (via WhatsApp only) who did not come to the villa and with little to no apology for the inconvenience offered that we move to the 2nd two bedroom pool villa, but we would have to wait for it to be cleaned and prepared. So the morning of our only full day at the resort was spend packing up, waiting in the restaurant, and them moving and unpacking into the 2nd villa. The newly built one bedroom villa, restaurant and shared pool are all very nice and are of a hight standard, however they do not have the same view and the older 2 bedroom villas and its a little deceiving as all the booking sites show only the view from these villas. Unfortunately these villas are tired, in need of a full refurbishment and are no longer the 5* star villas that they our touted to be. The furniture is worn, has patched, scratches and some even broken. The fridge handle is worn and filthy, the painted wood work is scratched and chipped, the sink plug is broken. In villa 1 both bedroom doors do not stay shut and swing open, even when locked they can be easily pushed open. If travelling with children or those with mobility issues you need to be made aware that the staircase is open with no handrail at all. Certainly would not meet western safety standards. I have attached as many photos as booking.com will allow, I wish I could load more. The mini bar prices and very expensive are the mark up on the products is over the top. $7.50AU for a Snickers chocolate bar, $5.00AU for a litre of milk

Everything was still under construction but still charged full price. Drilling noise and lots of other construction noise outside our window all day long

The villas would seem in need of some small renovation here and there. Minor issue though.
