Nice layout and design of bungalows, great location and views
I tried dinner and breakfast and both were at most mediocre compared to meals at other places that were in walking distance. Also, I felt the place was lacking the warmth that I had experienced in all other places. The Villa itself was clean, however with a bat living in the open bathroom and pooping and urinating all over the place I felt really very uncomfortable. I had repeatedly reported to reception but there seemed to be no instant solution. When leaving I found out it was known to the owners but obviously not really a matter of concern. Just to mention, I had open bathrooms and rooms in the majority of my stays and Im pretty tolerant to wildlife sneaking in. However not to bats, especially not in times of Nipah virus.

ville located in a beautiful garden, a lot of greenery also from rice fields. large room, beautiful bathroom. facility geared towards clients practicing meditation... lots of meditation
the high humidity of the area and the proximity of rice fields means that there are a lot of mosquitoes already in the afternoon, so we didn't use the terrace much. no repellents for insects or ants, of which there are many. No air conditioning, only one small fan per large room. The cleaning team did not refill the coffee, but left the room unlocked (we returned only in the evening). The staff is not as open and friendly as it is in Bali. Everyone participates in meditations, so take note of when you need to do something. Breakfasts are tasty, but portions are small

Hidden oasis!!!...one of the most beautiful places in the whole of bali..if you are seeking solace, peace,beauty,warmth,love,nourishment of soul....and more...nirarta is the place to be !.from the moment we stepped into the property premise...me & my mum felt a heavenly vibration welcome us into a lovingly nurtured abode ..
The gardens are gorgeous...views stunning..lovely river flows down by the place ...all the elements of mother nature enhance the overall expirience.
Most of the cottages are huge with open air bathrooms..simple yet elegantly & tastefully furnished with all the required amenities one would need.
All the people working here are helpful & simply amazing souls..
We had the pleasure of meeting our wonderful hosts daayu & peter...thank you for creating such a wonderful space & sharing it with us
Bonus are the energy flow & meditation sessions that you can join in every morning & evening.
We initially booked for 2 days only to extend our stay for another 6 days..cant wait to be back again!!

Location, comfortable beds and clean rooms.
The location is exquisite and right near the river which you can walk to and lay in if you choose.
Beautiful meditation classes each morning and if you are there on a Sunday morning you get a special meditation class with Lola while she is there for the next 3 months.
I highly recommend anyone to stay here though!
My only gripe was my room was near the construction of new accommodation so there was noise during the day.

I booked Nirarta for my daughter and myself so we could immerse straight into the local Sideman community and stay somewhere peaceful and quiet. It was the perfect start to our trip. Thank you for the morning meditation with staff was just lovely, Ketut.
Our room had the most beautiful view over the valley, with the amazing forest creatures for company and at night, fortunate to see fireflies . Close to many Warungs with delicious local organic food. The restaurant at Nirarta amazing too. Gardens stunning.
Only for constructive feedback but likely personal preference the beds quite firm, this seems to be the case in most Bali accommodation however. Also the hot water service in the room a little temperamental needs a service maybe. Also no safe for valuables however we used our own strategy, felt safe in this environment anyway.

The Wi-Fi never worked I had to login about 10 times a day and then it only stayed on for an average of 2 to 3 minutes so I end up using my 4G
No staff at reception ( My friend checked in the next day and was waiting at reception for a very long time, calling out and messaging just to try to check in
No staff around to help
Had to go searching for them
A few times a day The owner makes staff join a meditation, so if you arrive at that hour or need water or any help there is no one to assist you
There was renovations going on right beside me so a lot of hammering and banging throughout the whole day

This place is incredible magic. You have everything you need to dive in silence and allow nature to surround you. Is a very special place if you are looking to spend time with yourself and meditate by the river.

Wow! This was unexpected. We only booked this a few days before deciding to visit Sidemen - the reviews were ok and the price was very cheap. It was quite an odd name for a hotel but we went for it and didnt expect too much. Well what a surprise. It was beautiful. The gardens and grounds were immaculate with beautiful lush flowers all around, a little oasis. Our room was huge with big windows and a balcony with the most incredible views onto the river and mountains. It was breathtaking. We were able to hire a scooter and do some laundry - all the staff were lovely. The breakfast was great and again with incredible views all around. The location was brilliant - we were able to walk to various restaurants/warungs each night, quite a lot of choice.
Not much. Our toilet didnt flush properly but not an issue and was fixed quickly.
I think the name of the property - Nirarta Centre for Living Awareness - may put people off booking as it is unusual. There is meditation available at the property but was not a obvious.
If we went back to Sidemen we would absolutely book Nirarta again!

Fabulous location with a fantastic open view. Beautiful grounds. Quiet, calm and peaceful. Very conducive to meditation and slowing down bringing awareness. The yogashala is beautiful. Huge room, very clean and well maintained. Lots of windows and so a lot of light. Direct view of the mountains and rice fields. But not in the right position for sunrise or sunset in case you are looking for that. But nevertheless, the view from the room was fantastic.
Hot water did not work in the shower. I called for help. One of the staff members showed me that the tap needs to be turned in the opposite direction to get hot water. The gas heater did turn on when I turned the tap in the opposite direction. But still there was no hot water. I let the water flow for a couple of minutes but still no hot water. The breakfast was ok-ish. The morning movement session conducted by the staff was ok-ish. they hardly gave any instruction. When they did it was so low that I could barely hear them. They need to improve in their instruction skills. It would have been better if they had left us to meditate on our own.
