Wonderful
Nice location
Delicious food
Nice spa facilities
Some attention to details were missing
When we arrived we didn't have towels in our room, I had to tell the reception twice to get the towels
The cleaning lady entered the room at 8:20 in the morning without knocking on the door.
But overall we had a nice stay, probably we will come again

Good
It’s a great location in Siofok. I don’t like the Hungarian standard of very little room, cleaning and changing towels every two days. The food is decent. Be sure when booking that you know which part of the hotel that you are staying in. I booked in the premium, but because I booked a deluxe room, I stayed in the less nicer part of the hotel.
I am unsure what’s going on at Lake Balaton, but this hotel, just like Hotel Fured had ONE masseuse for the 600 bed complex.
The Opus restaurant was a plated food option with less kids and a bit more upscale.
Good pools and access to the lake.

Very Good
Hotel is nice, good food ( in 5 star restaurant) and the pools and wellness are great.
Very cold in the 5-star wellness. I made reservations in the 5 star hotel. On arrival it appeared they upgraded part of the 4-star hotel to 5 star rooms. And you have to eat in the 4-star hotel for the exact same price as a room in the 5 star part and eating in the 5 star hotel. This was not mentioned at all in the booking.com advertisement so I got really mad as I knew from former visits that the 4-star restaurant is really bad quality. After some discussion we were allowed to eat in the 5-star hotel so that was solved okay for us. I heard from others that were not that lucky and had real bad food “on the other side” at Christmas. So when you make you reservation have attention for taking a 5-star room in the 5- star building. Also 3000 forint a day for parking next to the expensive room prices is pretty outrageous.

Wonderful
The only improvement comment I have is related to the Booking website as it is not clear that in fact there are to hotels, the Azur Premium Hotel (5 stars) and the Azur Hotel. It should be very clear when booking since the two are far from offering the same experience.

Wonderful
We enjoyed variety of hotel amenities (2 wellnesses, saunas, bowling). Our room was very spatious with two bathrooms which was absolutely amazing since there were 4 people. Whole room was very clean, we had a refill of a bottle of mineral water and coffee/tea pods every day which is something extraordinary even in comparison to other 5* hotels we were in.
Sometimes we felt like there was a little chaos with service. In the end we observed it not as a lack of attention from staff but some sort of restrain due to possible language barrier. My guess is that hotel serves mainly local clientele which is perfectly fine but in my opinion as a 5* amenity there is a space for improving mainly communication skills of staff with international clientele. What proves me greatly in this observation is the fact that when I made my best to try with my really thin knowledge of hungarian to order it was much easier (and a lot more funnier, mainly for staff) to have good service experience. Due to the fact we as guest are paying 15% service charge whenever we order I would expect this to be a hotel policy to try to communicate better so that the whole experience will be not 9/10 but 10/10. Just a food for thought for management…

Disappointing
nice indoor pool
good water pressure in the shower
we booked a delux family suite but when we came, the reception girl said the suite is not available due to renovation, so we got 2 rooms with
connected door.
at the check-out, the reception guy somehow wanted to extra chrage us for that.
also when we got to the hotel, we were told that the indoor pool is prohibited for kids so we were sent to a long walk to the 4 stars hotel indoor pool next to us.
. booking didn't mention anything about the unavailable suite or the pool policy.
inside the room, the air conditioner wasn't working on cold due to hotel policy and it was so hot and made it so hard to sleep.
about breakfast, the variety was poor. bread and pancakes were good.
about dinner, main course was poor. soup was good.

Good
the place with private lake beach, room with lake view, restaurants, aquapark, ..
there was the issue with cleaning, same like last year, no progress registered or even worse. It was the issue of our room (spiders in corners, hairs from some previous visitors on the carpet,..ect., but also whole hotel - nobody cleaned the beach or area around, so we have to look to the same trash on the grass at the beach for all 4 days, nets with spiders everywhere higher than 2m (for example just look up when you stay at juice machine at the breakfast) in the restaurant, corridors,..ect.
So hotel still struggle with cleaning services. What we could see wasnt acceptable even for 3*** hotel (!)

Disappointing
The room overall was quite nice, however it is a bit weird that you book a 5 star hotel and are accommodated in 4 star rooms.
The room was a 4 star room (even though we booked 5 stars) and we traveled with 3 people (as indicated) and the room was only prepared for 2 which I don't expect from a 5 star hotel.

Pleasant
The pools and spa facilities are very good and the hotel and its surroundings are very beautiful and pleasant. The beds are very comfortable. There is an organized parking lot, albeit for a fee, but it was very convenient
The food did not match a 5 star hotel. The selection was very poor, you had to stand in a long line to get the dishes and sometimes when you arrived the trays were already empty. We contacted the hotel management and they did try to take care and upgraded us to eat in the hotel's luxury restaurant. There the selection was wider but the waiting times for each dish were very long (about an hour waiting for a main dish) and it turned out that each meal took over two hours due to the wait for the dishes. Also unbelievable that there is not even water to drink at dinner. Everything is extra and of course the water bottle is also charged for service. We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and the cleanliness of the rooms during the stay was very basic to non-existent. A cup of tea we drank in the room stood for 5 days without anyone emptying it even though they came to make the bed. The bin was not always emptied either.

Very stylish hotel, amenities were fantastic, superb for families. So many different swimming pools , saunas etc. Areas for families spa facilities more suited to adults. Soft play and children’s clubs as well as bowling alley and small arcade games . The location with direct access to the lake was perfect. It is a large hotel but we never felt like any part was crowded, even at meal times . Would highly recommend this hotel , staff were very friendly as well .
Only the view from our room , but the room other than that is as perfect

Good location, nice resort, nice seashore, big room, very nice attitude from the restaurant staff
A good one - we got a discount at the checkout as a result of the problems. This was fair, but we didn’t come for a discount, we came for a functioning place?
Air conditioner didn’t work for the whole stay (35 degrees )
Room didn’t get cleaned and no clean towels etc. we asked the reception many times, he was not gentle and didn’t solve the problem

Food - For the Deluxe Double Room guests you have the option to eat at the buffet and order from a menu at dinner and breakfast. The breakfast menu is always the same. The dinner menu changed 4 times while we were there (6 nights). The food on the menu was very nice!
Spa - There were 2 main spa areas. Both had a bunch of saunas. They both have a warm pool to relax in and jacuzzies.
Sand lake. - You can enter the lake from some steps and the lake has sand and not stones which is nice.
Staff - They were very friendly.
Room Confusion - You book a 5* hotel but you are moved to the 4* building and eat with the 4* guests. There are 3 main buildings for rooms. 2 of the buildings are 4* rooms and the last is 5* (newly renovated). This is for the Deluxe Double Room guests. If you want to stay in the 5* hotel then you need to pay for the premium rooms.
Extra costs - When you order from the menu in the Olive restaurant you need to pay a service charge. Once we were charged a service charge twice. My wife ordered an ice tea and for me a beer and apparently this requires and extra service charge since its alcohol. They both come from a fridge and they are next to each other.
Spa towels - You are given coupons (1 per guest) to get a towel for the spa and saunas. We went to the spa in the 5* building and they told us that we need to collect the towels in the 4* building. The towels for all guests are all the same. The staff could simply collect your coupon and give you the towels but if you don't pay premium costs then you have to collect them in the other building. If you are paying premium then you get a fresh towel when you want. Anything less than premium even for 5* guests, you get fresh towels every 3 days.
Buffet was average. - The food was not great. The food was probably a 6/10. Basic food that is heated up ready for the 4* guests and 5* if they want.
Breakfast speciality was not stocked - On the breakfast menu they have there 'famous' eggs Benedict with avocado, hollandaise sauce and duck. From our stay of 6 nights they had this available once. How can your signature dish not be in stock?

How can there be a 5-star template, during the summer, I have to ask for an air conditioner when there is an air conditioner in the hotel? It was really hot.
Although they tried to fix it for me, but it didn't help. The air conditioners are just not good enough.
The premium hotel is different from the "regular" hotel, therefore if you order a taxi it will always arrive at the regular hotel and it happened to me more than 4 times that the taxi simply "ran away" from me because it could not find the place. There should be a clarification sign.
The pool - when you come to stay at the outdoor pool - there are no free seats or chairs!
