Friendly front staff, especially Dorina. Close proximity to the castle which allowed us to return mid day in the heat and relax a bit. Close in parking under the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed and air conditioning which beat the heat!

Hotel was right next to the castle and very close to the old town; great location. Even better was the restaurant which has one of the best dinners I have ever had in Hungary.

If anything please upgrade your coffee maker. The coffee is not hot. But seriously. That’s the only thing!

Nice location. Easy to walk to most anywhere in Eger.
AC was not working. We received notice that it was out before our arrival but no compensation from a prepaid room. Was told it would be looked at but never saw anyone come to work on it.

Location near castle and main square restaurants. Very helpful, friendly staff. Fresh orange juice at breakfast.
No sweet baked goods at breakfast. Electrical outlets not in best place to charge devices. No outlet on one side of the bed. I was glad I always bring a 10 foot cable on my trips to Europe. Housekeeping did not come during our stay. Smells from the restaurant came straight up the open courtyard and were unpleasantly strong at times.
Not a fault of the hotel but the walk from the bus station, with slopes and uneven pavement, was challenging with dragging our wheeled suitcases, especially on a hot afternoon The front desk staff can arrange a taxi.

More than perfect location, the Macok restaurant is something exceptional, easy access to the Dobo Square, unbeatable price/value ratio, comfortable bed.... What else you need. I will definitely come back.

Maybe the best location in the city, literally next to the castle, in the absolute inner city. All the restaurants, confectioneries and souvenir shops are in walking distance. The hotel does have a small private underground parking.
The room we had was nice and clean but pretty outdated. Despite the central location the hotel is quiet. The breakfast was OK, but really nothing special.
All in all a great spot for a city visit, but do not expect too much. Everything is a bit old fashioned. Most probably it was a top address twenty years ago, now the location and the small scale charm are the main highlights.

Central location. Free garage parking. Good breakfast. Spacious rooms.
There was an outdoor party that played loud music up to midnight. The hotel informed us about it beforehand but it was too late to change hotels since it was past the deadline.

The bed could have been a little more comfortable really and I'd have preferred to have ordered my breakfast on the day rather than the day ahead but relatively minor things! Thank you
