Good breakfast, quiet room and very friendly staff
The room feels a bit empty, and the towels are very thin. The alcohol store nearby also attracts some noise and less pleasant activity around the entrance

What I liked was that it was clean, there was enough space for us not to have to place luggages on the floor. Enjoyed that we were in a quiet tucked away corner. We had a balcony, didn't overlook anything with a nice view, but it was there.
We were there during that heatwave at the end of June 2026. The A/C barely cooled the room, at one point it didn't work and a repairman we were told by front desk wouldn't come until the next morning. That was a ROUGH night. We asked for a fan, front desk basically said, we don't have any, not our problem. We would have been okay, had it not been for the dismissive execution of the response. There was no empathy or initiative to at least fake an interest. Once the A/C was fixed, it still barely cooled the room. That made the whole stay uncomfortable. Additionally, Booking.com stated checkout time would be noon and they had a sign at front desk that checkout had to happen a few hours earlier no ifs, ands or buts. You are out of there by 10am! When I inquired about what Booking stated, they just didn't seem to care. The little paper said what it said and that was it.

Noise that chairs iin the restaurant are making while being moved on tiles. They need to put some cloth on the legs to avoid annoying noise they produce now.

It’s definitely not a 4-star hotel, at least from my point of view. The room on the ground floor smelled really bad because of the drains. When I mentioned it at the reception desk, they simply gave me an air freshener instead of solving the issue. There was also almost no water pressure in the shower — the water was barely dripping.
Another very serious issue was the room door. It didn’t close properly, and one day when I came back to the hotel, I found my room door open. This is completely unacceptable from a safety and security perspective. When I reported it to reception, instead of apologizing or offering another room, I was just told that I needed to “close it really hard.” That response was shocking and extremely unprofessional.
Breakfast was okay, but nothing special. However, what really disappointed me was the staff’s attitude. I asked at reception if I could still have a coffee at 10:00, and they agreed. A few moments later, one of the staff members literally came running after me to tell me that if I wanted to drink coffee after 10:00, I should do it in the reception area. It wasn’t even so much about what she said, but the way she said it — with a very annoyed and aggressive tone that made me feel extremely unwelcome. That’s simply not the level of service anyone would expect from a 4-star hotel.
Maybe the rooms on the upper floors are better, but based on my experience, I would strongly advise avoiding the ground-floor rooms.
Overall, the poor room conditions, lack of professionalism, and complete disregard for guest comfort and security made this a very disappointing stay. I do not recommend this hotel.

I very very liked their breakfast, especially pastry and cheese!
Some reviews said it’s just ok, and I was prepared myself to smth average. But it came out super good! I would recommend this Hotel to everybody who is looking for comfort , good location, very good breakfast.

Hotel reception team positively surprised me with birthday congratulation. I will recommend Bristol hotel to my friends.

The property is easily accessible via public transport and is a quick bus ride from the city center. A short distance off a main road, it was very quiet at night yet still felt safe. A quick walk away from great restaurants and Aldi.
