Friendly staff.
Free parking.
Breakfast included.
Good food.
Spa with plenty of facilities (jacuzzi, different saunas, salt room, showers, etc).
2 min walk to the nearest bus station, from there line 74 to city center, it takes about 20 minutes.
Can't walk directly towards city center. You have to cross the train tracks and it's a far to go around. Only by car or bus.

The location is key. Close to the Mexikoi Metro, allowing travel to downtown in minutes. The facility is clean and well maintained, staff is friendly, and the breakfast is good. The restaurant has great food.
The minibar refrigerator is small and doesn’t really keep anything cold. It would be nice to have the ability to put a few personal things in it.

We stayed in a large apartment, which also has a kitchen. It was clean and quiet. We had everything that we needed. The breakfast was decent, with good selection of items. One big plus is for the large parking.
The hotel is located in a quiet area. There aren't many shops around or other activities.

The staff were very respectful and cooperative, and the room was suitable, comfortable, and clean. I recommend it for a comfortable stay, and I will return to it again when I travel to Budapest.

The male receptionist and the two restaurant staff (one man, one woman) during the day shift were very professional and kind. Really appreciated their attitude.
We arrived at Szőnyi Garden Hotel Pest four hours before check-in, hoping for some flexibility, but were told the room was not yet serviced. Fair enough — we waited in the café. The place was nearly empty, yet when the waiter approached us, I asked for a few minutes to look at the menu. He vanished and never came back. I eventually had to go looking for someone myself.
When we finally got into the room, it was shocking. The bathroom had visible mold everywhere — even on the showerhead, which is so easy to replace. The trash bin's pedal was broken, there was only a single tissue in the room, and the shower gel bottle was completely empty — even though we had waited hours for the room to be “prepared.”
The next morning, there was zero signage for breakfast. I searched the entire ground floor. When I asked the receptionist where it was, she replied with a condescending tone, as if my question was ridiculous: “At the restaurant.” The restaurant door was closed, unmarked, and there was no way to guess breakfast was being served behind it. The cold cuts were stale, the space was cramped, and we were told to wait in the lobby for a table while our tour schedule was at risk of delay.
On the second night, we came back around 10:10 PM. I asked the receptionist for a plate and knife to cut a birthday cake. Instead of helping, he dismissed the request: “This is reception. Plates are in the restaurant.” As if my request was unreasonable. At the restaurant, a bald man was arguing with two younger guys. I politely said, “May I have a plate and knife?” — he ignored me completely. I repeated, “Plate and knife?” He just glared at me, clearly still annoyed from his prior conversation. Then he corrected me in a mocking tone: “Please? Can I have...?” One of the younger men gestured for me to just give up. None of them offered any help. That plate and knife were meant for my birthday cake, but their unprofessional behavior became the “gift” I got that night.

Ample free parking, good wifi connection in the bedroom, abundant breakfast with many options and spacious room. Bus station nearby with connection to more public transport.

Hospitality of the staff, good breakfast, the spa was free and very appreciated at the end of the day (open 17:00-22:00), the room is big, very clean, parking for free secure with video surveillance, big open terrace and restaurant.
Bus no 74 takes 20 minutes to the city center (traffic included).
This hotel is saved in my list!
A water dispenser or tea in the spa area would be nice

Comfortable room, oke clean
Staff at the restaurant where breakfast is served is very unfriendly. Also Breakfast is not being filled with enough food, if something is empty, no refill.

The hotel is very nice and is a good value for money. It has its own inner court parking place, cozy kids playground, reception and a restaurant, which is super handy if you just want to stay in. There was nothing broken and everything worked. Planes are flying directly above the roof, but with windows closed we could sleep absolutely fine.
Directly after check-in (20:00) we complained that our matresses have dried blood stains, sweat stains, urine stains (in children's room) and human hair all over! The night clerk gave us extra sheets to put over them and promised that it will be taken care of in the morning. The bad part is that they never took care of it, did not acknowledge it, did not offer any discount and did not even say sorry. Only after we paid the full price and checked out did the clerk (different one) say they were sorry. If they used a topper which they regularly washed / swapped something like this would not happen. And it should not.
