The location was great, the beds were comfortable and the host was available and friendly. The apartment had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.
The coffee maker was a brand I've never heard of and the pods were not readily available at the grocery store, nor were the ones he left very good. I would prefer a Nespresso machine that I can get my own pods and quality coffee.
Pillows were not very comfortable.
There were A LOT of reed diffusers, and plug-in devices which created a very strong perfume smell inside the apartment...both my friend and I had a headache the first day I think from this strong fragrance smell. I wasn't going to review this, but when I mention it to the host when he checked us out his response was defensive...so I'm not sure he will do anything about it. So if you are sensitive to these types of smells, maybe consider this before booking.
The second thing I'd like to mention is that after I booked the non-refundable stay, I received a message from the host that said I would either need to bring cash payment or do a bank transfer to pay for the accomodation...both of which were inconvenient. I paid cash at arrival. Then I noticed on the day we checked out, the host cancelled our reservation...the only reason I can think of that he would do this is to try and avoid paying the booking.com fee. This felt a bit under-handed to me. It also made more sense that he had few reviews...if he is cancelling the reservations after-the-fact.
Also, please note... the apartment is on the 1st floor (which requires you to walk up one flight of stairs...there is not an elevator). The host was nice to carry our bags up when he met us to check us in...but upon checkout, we had to carry our own bags down the stairs. Not a problem for us, but possibly could be if you pack heavy bags.
It's too bad, because it is a nice apartment and the host was obviously trying to create a nice experience for the visitor.

The room on the street side can be noisy if you open the window, esp on Saturday evening. But closed it is very well insolated.

Beautiful apartment and a very comfortable stay. The host, Peter, is lovely and very helpful. There are many great restaurants very close by and it was a good location for sight seeing. We loved our stay there and can’t wait to return.

This is hands down the best host I've had so far. Our flight was delayed and I was afraid this may be a dealbreaker for Peter, because from the begining I knew we had to check in before 10pm. B
He not only waited for us, but also spend even more time on our arrival to show us the place and also advise some palces to visit and dine.
The appartment is close to everything, we did not use transport. Also, it was veeeeery clean. The space is very well decorated, having everything you need for a good stay, plus few exras. It is also very quiet and you can sleep in total darkness if you wish. The appartment is well warmed and the temperature was perfect for us (we traveled in feb).
My first stay in Buda was fabulous and when I return, I don't want to stay enywhere else.

The apartment is very quiet, superclean, very comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped - very spacious bathroom, comfy beds.
Peter is a most charming host and provided us with a lot of useful information about what to see and where to eat. We were even welcomed with wine and sweets.
The apartment is perfectly located, all major sights, lots of restaurants and bars are within walking distance. In easy reach by public transport (direct bus connection to Keleti train station, airport bus stop and Metro station very close)
Highly recommended! We will definitely be back.

Our stay was exceptional! The host was incredibly helpful, offering assistance at every turn and ensuring our comfort throughout our visit.
The apartment itself was a gem – impeccably clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the fully stocked kitchen to the cozy living area. The beds deserve special mention; they were incredibly comfortable, providing restful sleep after long days of exploring the city.
The location near the Opera House and the St. Stephen's Basilica is ideal, offering easy access to many of Budapest's main attractions, as well as great restaurants and cafes.
In summary, Sweet Dreams at Opera House exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of outstanding hospitality, top-notch amenities, and prime location makes it an excellent choice for anyone visiting Budapest.

Perfect accommodation in the heart of a beautiful city! The apartment met all our expectations! Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and very well equipped. The beds are huge and very comfortable. All attractions are very close on foot. Restaurants, shops, and a bakery are two minutes' walk away. The owners are very friendly, helpful and always available. We spent two wonderful nights with my family in this beautiful apartment. Spotless, very well equipped apartment and very kind owners welcomed us. Free wine, chocolate, mineral water on the table, free coffee and tea in the kitchen. The beds are big and extremely comfortable, the bathroom is huge and very clean. The location is perfect, you can find everything you need nearby. Bakery, restaurants, grocery store, attractions..... . You don't need public transport. The Opera House is a one-minute walk, the Basilica is a 3-minute walk. We had a great time and will stay here again next time we visit Budapest!!! We highly recommend it!

The apartment was perfect for us! Clean, comfortable, very well equipped! The bed is huge and very comfortable! The location is perfect, central, there are excellent restaurants, bakeries and shops nearby. The owners are very friendly and helpful, always available if you have any questions! We will definitely come back and highly recommend it if you are looking for a clean, comfortable and centrally located accommodation!
Unfortunately, we could only spend two nights here and not two weeks! We would have loved to stay longer! :-)
