Lovely old hotel from 1914. Beautiful lobby, excellent breakfast in Beautiful room. Nice staff, very nice room, clean, had a big bathtub. Only negative was the vey loud street sounds with window open, lots of sirens and traffic.

The breakfast had a range of options. The receptionist was very fast and professional. The hotel tried to accommodate us with our request for a bathtub.
The cleaning staff, especially the short haired, blond-ish, older lady that worked thrme 8th of September was EXTREMELY RUDE to us. Literally tried to rush us out of our room before breakfast so she could clean and when we told her to please give us 10 more minuted as it was barely half 8 am and wevjust woke up, she made a face to us, sighed super loudly, tsk-ed in front of us and then started muttering loudly in Hungarian as she waited in front of room to leave. We had an overall lovely experience with the hotel but I am sure to never return because of her and her attitude.

I did not like this place nor the location, room are fine but the location is right outside the metro where there is a lot of homeless and dirty, there was also a lot of noise from other rooms I have to switch 3 rooms

Breakfast bakery items were not as fresh as expected from Astoria.
The shower area was slippery, and the shower hot/cold control did not work at all.

The ONLY good thing about this hotel is that the metro station is right by the hotel’s entrance
The room cleanliness was horrible. There was dust, hair, and what looked like dead insects in the bathroom. The cleaning lady also barged into my room twice while I was inside, which was a serious privacy issue.
The water pressure was terrible, and the water temperature constantly changed from extremely cold to extremely hot. Most of the reception staff were also clueless and unhelpful except for 1-2 people. One of my key cards was taken because I left it in the electricity slot, despite never being told this was not allowed.
The biggest issue was the constant noise from a large family occupying several rooms around us. They shouted, slammed doors, and made noise throughout the day and night. Their child repeatedly screamed in the hallway and even woke me up at midnight. I called the reception various times to complain about the noise with no answer. When I went down, the man in the reception shrugged nonchalantly and said what can I do?
There was also a drunk man frequently in the lobby who bothered us and swore at us, which made us extremely uncomfortable.
Despite all of this, the hotel did not seem to take these issues seriously. Even when we simply requested a late checkout, they refused.
Overall, the poor cleanliness, lack of privacy, bad water facilities, constant noise, inappropriate behaviour, and unhelpful staff made this an extremely unpleasant stay. I would absolutely not stay here again or recommend this hotel.

Nice and specious room and bathroom. Old style Europe. Great location.

The hotel was in a very good location and the staff were always very helpful. The room service was also great and the rooms were very clean.
The shampoo and body wash weren’t good at all and the shower caused leakage onto the bathroom floor causing it to be very wet.
