Beautifully designed hotel with large, cozy rooms and a fantastic location. We stayed with breakfast included – the rich buffet at New York Cafe is exclusive to hotel guests in a private dining zone, no crowds at all. Staff are friendly and attentive.
We encountered a small hiccup during check-in. We were assigned to the 7th floor which has no view overlooking the hotel’s open atrium. I don’t blame the front desk staff for this, as the high floor was our own request, fortunately the manager later helped us rearrange a quiet room on the 6th floor, for which we are very grateful.
But the first receptionist informed us at check-in that parking would cost €23 per night and we need to pay on the way out, however when we checked out, the reception validated our parking tickets, making parking completely free of charge. So we’re unsure whether this complimentary parking was a special treat to celebrate our first wedding anniversary there, or if the first front desk staff simply provided incomplete information at check-in.

I am a VERY FUSSY HOTEL GUEST. I see every flaw and fumble. With that as context, let me say that the ANYPHotel was absolutely wonderful. Gorgeous property. Impressive customer service. Incredible breakfast buffet value. Top-notch room product—spacious, sheets/pillows/mattress/towels terrific, great bathroom/products. I mean even down to the sewing kit, which is the best we’ve ever seen! The whole stay was an extraordinary value.
Ok, I’ll say it: the carpeting in the bedroom is really unattractive. And we had a really mediocre lunch at the iconic New York Cafe.

The staff were exceptional, from the first interaction with the doorman, through checking in and then breakfast, at every touch point they were friendly, helpful, and polite.
Breakfast was great especially the bread which was among the best I’ve ever had.

The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the famous New York Café truly one of the most beautiful cafés in the world and an unforgettable experience.
I also loved the hotel’s stunning lobby and reception area. The magnificent glass ceilings and natural light create a spectacular atmosphere, especially when the sunlight pours through the atrium.
Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was disappointing and did not meet the standards expected from a luxury hotel.
The selection at breakfast was very limited and lacked the variety one would expect from a hotel of this category.
The service staff were often unfriendly and inconsistent. On one morning, I was told that egg orders should be placed directly with the chef at the egg station. The next day, when I followed the same process, I was told to order through a waitress instead. The order was taken reluctantly, the eggs arrived cold, and neither the water nor the coffee we requested was ever brought to the table.
For a hotel of Anantara's reputation and at this price level, the breakfast service was far below expectations and needs significant improvement.

Location is good. Breakfast is excellent with attentive service. Room in the original wing was of superior quality. Overall, staff goes out of their way to please their guests.
Rough start when I got a room in the new wing that does not even closely match the original wing quality and ambiance. But once I complained, the hotel took immediate action to rectify the situation.

The location was good , but there are better properties in Budapest in better locations . The area around Anantara feels dated and run down .
The hotel is just another hotel . The are around is dated and run down . It doesn’t give you the
Vibes of a luxury hotel . The rooms were always dusty !

The property is absolutely amazing ! Did not disappoint our expectations. It was worth it if may describe. Staff were very accommodating. Had a problem in the shower but it was fix asap.
The only thing i wish is I expected i little bit more on breakfast side. The reason i booked the hotel so i can have a easy access to the whats so called very special cafe/breakfast . The place was perfect and amazing no questions about that. But I wished The food specially the breakfast is little bit special. Taste wise is not the best. Wanna add up , i ordered a iced matcha latte ,I felt like they give me a milk with colour green . Im sorry but i didn’t feel the matcha. I hope they can improve that. But the rest is amazing.

Beautiful interior design over the centuries, great location and professional service provided, live music band performed the most beautiful songs we loved, it’s was so romantic and unforgettable… strongly recommend!

The decor is beautiful. The steam and sauna rooms are great. Breakfast at New York Cafe is a very special experience.
The deep tub is slightly difficult to get in and out. The location is a bit away from the attractions along the Danube River.
