Poor
I was going to try to ask for at least a partial refund.( I’m just getting home from out time away.) I had requested fragrance free accommodations if possible and got no reply or communication. Apparently the gentleman at the check in was aware and tried to give us a newer room thinking it would help. Due to the cleaning products the sensitivities I have to fragrances made. It unbearable. We had to leave and pay for another hotel.
My request for accommodation was not responded to and ultimately I was not able to use the booking. The

The hotel of Blaha Lujza is wonderful with full of beauty and splendor. The breakfast there is delicious and I love it. The bed in the room is very comfortable and it is very cozy as well. Furthermore the hotel is exceptional.

The location of the hotel is excellent with it being very close to the Balatonfured, Tagore setany and all the restaurants, shops are in the vicinity. The hotel staff was very welcoming and nice. Checkin and out was fast. The hotel itself is clean and very well maintained. The Family room we had was above our expectations with the only thing bothering us, was that the second room where our kids slept didn`t have an AC vent, so the door had to stay open to let the cool air in at night. Otherwise the beds were great, comfy, the room design was very nice and we loved the spacious rooms. Both rooms had TV with Youtube and Netflix and cable TV. We had buffet breakfast and dinner. The food was good and the breakfast pastries were exceptional, they are made inhouse and it was delicious. Parking is dependant on arrival, we were lucky to have a spot in the small tight courtyard infront of the entrance, they also reserve the spot for you when you leave the place if you`re going out. It is tight though, needs driving skill to put the car in there.....I backed in reverse thorugh the gates since its easier to point the car that way. We have a Focus wagon....not the biggest but bigger SUV or wider cars may struggle. All in all, we would like to thank the staff, the restaurant and waiters and cleaners as they were exceptionally kind and welcoming. We highly recommend the place. All the best Mayer family.
As mentioned before the family room`s second room, didnt have an AC vent so we had to keep the door open for the kids to get some cold air. Also, a few houseplants would really really liven things in the room, I recommend some low maintenance plants next to the pillar or at the roof windows. Also some small soap, shampoo and things would be great to have on arrival in the bathroom (we had our own obviously) but would be a nice touch. Recommend also to have a frosted glass sticker on the shower door as it`s right next to the door and the kids sometimes can`t hold their small job....so it would make sense to have something like that on the shower door to block the "show" :D

The employees are very friendly.
The boss has moved his car to other place so I can park the car in the hotel although it is not free, but cheaper.
They even offered me a later check-out to 12:00 since my young daughter was so excited about the trip and was so tired in the morning and went to sleep again after breakfast...
The breakfast and dinner are too delicious and I have to worry about my weight...:-)

A nicely renovated period property with all mod cons. Rooms with AC and very friendly staff.
very rich breakfast and a good selection of tasty main courses for dinner.
Inconsistent Wi-Fi. Missing vegan, vegetarian, gluten and dairy free options. No fish or sea food. The common areas are extremely hot. Limited parking space at the hotel.
Although it has nothing to do with the hotel, be aware that parking is 360HUF/hours Mon-Sun 24/7. The nearest beach costs 1900HUF/day. You can easily save thousands of HUF on parking and entrance fees if you drive 10-15Km either direction on E71.
