Wonderful
Quirky, comfortable, quiet, with friendly and helpful staff. The whole place has lots of character. I found this a wonderful alternative to staying directly in the city. I loved being able to leave the car at the hotel and take the short bus ride into the center of town. It’s also on the north side of the city so easy access/short drive to hiking.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Some people might have difficulty getting into and out of the big (wonderful) bathtub. Not sure if the hotel has any walk-in showers. Everything else seems fine for someone with a disability — there’s a ramp at the front stairs and an elevator inside.

The hotel is great,in a peaceful location,very clean.The staff is friendly and willing to help.
The public transport is just in front of the hotel, 10-15 minutes away from the centre..
The breakfast is good and varied with an excellent coffee.
Definitely the great value for money.

If you pair the hitel with nearby restaurant of the same owner, you hit a bingo! This hotel is a beautiful historical point, a real hidden gem. Extraordinarily friendly staf, super clean and with astonishing decor. I will surely come back again.

Some of the old quirky furniture. Breakfast staff very accommodating
very basic room considering supposed to be superior. Had to ask for slippers and another pillow as only 2 in the room. Safe not secured to anything so did not use. No plug was told later could ask for one but did not realise til about to run it. Very basic breakfast.

Staff were always quick to greet me and always so helpful, often anticipating my needs by my second day being there. I loved the historical feel of the property and the food offered for breakfast is very tasty and a great value.
Also the restaurant next door offered excellent meals and a unique atmosphere as well. I would gladly stay again, if visiting the area.
There was nothing negative about my stay.
The building is very old, so just keep that in mind, as you can't really compare some things with modern facilities. For example, the room can get a bit stuffy during the day if you're out, but just open a window.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Puntijar in Zagreb, and I must say, it was an experience steeped in history and comfort. From the moment you step into this hotel, you're enveloped by a sense of timeless elegance; every corner tells a story of Zagreb's rich past.
Our room was nothing short of spectacular. The spaciousness was a luxury in itself, with a massive bedroom that felt like a suite from another era. The balcony was the cherry on top, offering a lovely view and a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation.
Accessibility was a breeze for us, as the hotel is car-friendly with ample parking, yet it's also conveniently served by several bus routes, making it ideal for those exploring the city without a vehicle.
The breakfast at Puntijar was delightful, featuring a variety of local and international options, all prepared with care. But what truly made our stay memorable was the staff. The woman attending to us was not just kind but genuinely welcoming, making each interaction feel like a warm embrace from a friend.
If you're looking for a stay that combines historical charm with modern comfort and exceptional service, Hotel Puntijar is the place to be. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Zagreb who appreciates a touch of the past with all the conveniences of today.

This is a lovely hotel which mixes quirky, comfort and glamour into one. It is easy to find and has ample carparking for guests. We were given a warm welcome by the receptionist who showed pride in the hotel and explained it had over 1000 pictures on the walls - they are everywhere. Our room was massive and nicely furnished with quirky additions such as the TV being framed in a gold guilded mirror. The owner of the hotel runs a beer garden restaurant nextdoor and we very happily spent the evening with our dogs enjoying good food, friendly staff and the weird and wonderful items located everywhere.
There was nothing we didn't like. Our stay was great.
