Wonderful
The hotel is renovated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There was a private party in the restaurant in the evening, but they still prepared a wonderful dinner for us. Breakfast was great.
The location. It's on a main road (the rooms are not noisy). The area is industrial. To get anywhere nice, you need a car.

staff was very nice, and helpful. I had some problems with parking fines, so they helped me to solve it. thank you, ladies! Also, the SPA!! and the Massage! recommend. only 15EUR for Saunas, I wish I went more. but really good. Breakfast fine. All was good. Hvala!
Maybe the location, it's not in the city. but there's a Mall 5min walk, so thats nice. And also, you're booking this hotel for the Spa, not to be in the city. so thats fine.

Hotel lobby was good, with coaches to rest, and the luggage storage was proper, reception lead us there was nice and helpful
Facility is very old and average, based on the very bad location, the price was not meeting the expectation. I ordered without breakfast, and I ordered for 2 persons for one night stay. Hotel reception insist I pay extra 45euro for the extra person, even I didn't book for breakfast. A manager went out and decide to not charge us extra

The hotel is situated at the west part of the city, it's in the shopping area, so if that's your kick, it's great, otherwise it's not close to the city centre or any specific landmarks. The breakfast is great, served from 6:45 which is good, it has a solid variety and more importantly it's refilled throughout the period breakfast is open. The room is spacious, and wifi works good. Also the staff is very polite and nice.
The hotel doesn't have the best view, as half of the rooms look at the truck parking which can be loud even at night when the trucks are working. The cleanliness could be a bit better, and the parking in front, even though it's big, it's not from the hotel, and anyone can park there and it doesn't look that safe either. The spa has a strange concept that only the pool is free, while you have to pay for salt room and saunas and everything else (?!) On the hotel info it's even stated that to use a jacuzzi you need to pay, but luckily we got it for free, because it was not working so we had to ask for it to be turned on. Also value for money is not the best.

Staff. Front desk upon check in. Front desk when I asked why it is written tha. Room service is delivered and it was nit…... Breakfast staff. Because she could not understand my room nr 109 , even that I explained twice like 109, 10 - 9 and nr by nr she made me to leave area and took me to front desk like thief where they told oh she did not understand well. No sorry nothing. Breakfast staff was not on position upon my entrance for breakfast so she just approach and ask for room nr.. and twice like that. Also most if pastry where old in breakfast. Banana were bad i am sure hardy edible. My mistake that did not took some photo. Same with check in staff same with room dinning. I spent most of time in various hotel type and tolerance is high but now I must write review. This is clean hotel

What truly elevated our stay was the hospitality of the staff, who were unfailingly kind, professional, and fluent in English. A special mention goes to Marko, the manager, who was a delight to interact with—gracious, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of our experience was flawless, from our accommodations to the delightful breakfast service. We are already looking forward to our next visit, and we wholeheartedly recommend Grand Hotel Zagreb to anyone seeking a stay that combines comfort, sophistication, and heartfelt hospitality in the heart of this beautiful city.
