Disappointing
Inside the old city of Split, convenient if u need to stay in the old city, everything is around, designed for effortless transport.
It is an apartment category and not hotel, no daily cleaning services, not enough amenities for your stay, it was not super clean. It is not worth the money we paid. Everyday there is opera concerts below the property too much noise also blocking the entrance to enter to ur property.

We did not stay there so Nothing!! We tried to contact them countless times via text, phone calls, and contact through Booking.com and received no response.
We never stayed there. We sat at a restaurant for 4 hours, calling them and texting so we could check in and went to the property, but no one was there. We paid a month ago and then were told the day of that they can no longer accommodate us. We had to find other accommodations at the last minute. Hopefully we will be refunded, but I won’t hold my breath.

I have been all over the World. I have stayed in castles, palaces, mansions and all sorts of beautiful and historical places. This one is very special. First, Katerina is a wonderful, kind, friend, accommodating host. The very historical palace is absolutely stunning, clean and comfortable. The location could not be better, and I would say you couldn't find better, more perfect lodgings in Split. Don't even consider another place. Oh, and the wonderful, included breakfast was a very nice bonus.
That I had to leave.

The location was fabulous. Second floor, window opened into the main square at the cathedral. Inside of the apartment had Original walls and an absolutely beautiful ceiling.

Our stay at the Grisogono Palace Heritage Residence was nothing short of magical. The location could not have been more perfect—right in the heart of Split, with everything just steps away. The room itself was incredibly spacious, far more than we expected, and beautifully comfortable.
We happened to be there during the Summer Festival, which was the highlight of our trip. From our window, we were able to watch multiple live performances unfold in the square below—an experience we’ll never forget.
If you want to feel immersed in the history, energy, and charm of Split, this is the place to be. I couldn’t have picked a better location, and we feel so lucky to have stayed here. Highly recommended!
At times, the crowds in the square made it difficult to navigate our way back to the room. That small inconvenience, however, wouldn’t stop me from rebooking or recommending this beautiful room to anyone.

The location was amazing! We loved having the whole apartment and being able to open the windows and watch the madness in the square or listen to the live music at night. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Katia was very helpful in getting us checked in and out with flexible times. She was very sweet!
While most of the apartment seemed pretty clean, cleanliness of the floors could be improved. They were pretty dirty/dusty throughout the whole apartment.

The property was in a fabulous location, right on the main square. Very easy access to all of the Palace sights. The apartment was beautiful and very historic. Bed was great and since the bedroom is on the side away from the square, it’s not noisy.
There were challenges connecting with our host. Apparently the main host had been in an accident and wasn’t able to make it. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the phone number of the person we were supposed to meet until after we’d been waiting a while.
And the check in process was a bit concerning. The person who met us said they had been hacked and couldn’t process a credit card, so wanted us to pay in cash. That’s not generally an issue as long as we know in advance. And on top of that, she didn’t know the amount we needed to pay; I had to look it up on my reservation. And since there was no receipt of any kind, I had to take a picture of her with the money as my receipt.
There was little to no information about how to operate things in the house. Again, not usually an issue but since the water heater was on a switch that was right next to the bathroom light switch, we accidentally turned it off without knowing and were stuck with cold showers until we found the switch.
They definitely need to work on their welcome process.
The final thing wasn’t as big an issue but it needs to be mentioned. Since the front window opens on the square, it’s great to keep it open and see the people in the square. Unfortunately, since so many people in the square were smoking, their smoke had a tendency to get into the apartment.

Be sure to confirm details. We read in advance that our luggage would be held on our last day (because we had a late plane). Our wonderful host Katya helped us find a place elsewhere that stored luggage, but we had to pay a fee.

The Grisogono Palace apartment has the most desirable location in Split. It looks down on the main square across from the Cathedral and entrance to Diocletian's Palace. It is so convenient to everything in the city. The apartment is wonderfully furnished, and offers a very large living area, separate bedroom, and kitchenette. One feels a bit like nobility staying here. Katja met us at the nearest city gate and took us the short distance to the apartment. She is a most gracious hostess. A full breakfast buffet is included at a nearby restaurant. Truly a memorable stay and excellent value !!

We stayed at the Grisogono Palace Apartment on the final night of our trip to Croatia. It is located in Old Town, Split and provided the perfect ending to our trip. We could look out our window and see the celebrations going on in Peristil Square.
Parking was difficult. The posting said that we could easily find parking for $10 nearby without a reservation. That was not true. We circled Old Town for about an hour before finding parking on the street about a mile from our room. It was worth the extra effort, but we would have liked to have known that ahead of time.

It is a beautiful apartment in historical building. Set on main square and although you can sometimes not get out the door onto the street the square has an unless array of entertainment that you can see and hear from window. Great bakery and ice cream steps away from the door. Comfortable bed.
Thought we might cook at little as it is hard to go out to eat all the time. Were told we were not allowed to because of the ceilings. Would like to have used the safe when we were biking. Could not figure it and we were told we did not need to use it. Very steep narrow stairs to apartment.

The location is incredible. Inside the walls of the palace overlooking the palace entrance. Beautiful antique ceiling and windows.
Would have been helpful to know the parking is remote and you must carry in your bags.

I booked pretty quickly when I was booking for my one night in Split. Therefore, I didn't read the description and mainly looked at reviews and price. So, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact it's in a UNESCO world heritage site, has a window out to the square. Also, there was rehearsal for Tosca that we were able to watch from our window, once in a lifetime experience!!

The apartment was large, clean, and exceptionally beautiful. It has a very large living room, newly updated bath, kitchen and quiet bedroom. The air conditioning worked well and was appreciated after warm afternoons of sightseeing. The hostess, Katia, met us with the key was very nice and made arrangements to have a gentleman help us with luggage when we vacated. He was also very nice and helpful—an absolutely necessary service because of the stairs.
The breakfast was close by (end of block). Staff was welcoming. One could order off menu for an omelette for instance. They served fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh pastries and breads, as well as a great selection of meats, vegetables and fruit.
There were 15 steps leading to our apartment door that we were not expecting. The steps were sturdy as well as the hand rail. We were very careful! Had I known I probably would not have reserved, but all turned out fine bc the apt was so beautiful and literally in center of everything
