Design Hostel One is a hostel within a ancient city walls of Split. It is less than 0.6 mi from Bacvice Bay and 5 minutes’ walk to Diocletian Palace. Free WiFi is available. great location, nice rooms, private beds
There isnt really a kitchen, Croatia isnt cheap and I found myself wishing I could cook myself some proper food. Something to consider when booking.

The staff here is fantastic!!! They helped me with my lost luggage. I was impressed by the free coffee and the garden and small terrace on the third floor. The bed was comfortable, and the curtains provide privacy. The hostel got new ladders for the upper beds and climbing to the upper bed went without a problem. Location - the center of Split, everything is within a 1-minute walk

The location was the best, close to everything. I liked the fact that you have the toilet and shower separate in the room and also having a curtain to the bed maide my first experience in a hostel a good one. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend this hostel.

Fab location, lovely rooms and welcoming staff! Beds were comfy and the black out curtains and personal light for each bunk was amazing! Free coffee was so appreciated! Didnt have the breakfast but wish I did. It looked great and good value! Didnt have a padlock so they gave me one for the lockers foc too!
Top bunks were a bit hard for people to get up to. Would have liked a hairdryer and a full length mirror but not a deal breaker! I have stayed in a few hostels in centre split and would choose here again!

Very central, modern decor with bright & airy feel. Compact but neat & comfortable dorm pods.
Bathroom could be bigger but it was clean. Corridors are plain, a little decorating/plants would make a difference.

This was a lovely hostel. Clean and very modern.
The only negative I had was staying on the top bunk the design of the "ladder" to get up and down are 2 slots in the bunk.. it was very difficult to get up and down using these.. particularly getting down I nearly fell twice.. but I am also quite short so maybe not so much of an issue for people with longer legs.
