Great location just outside city center. Parking for rental car included- which is huge in this city. Host very helpful. Biggest thing to consider is 157 steps down to city and then back up at end of day. Don’t for us, but must be considered.

Villa Leoni is a one bedroom apartment with an amazing view of the Adriatic and the Old Town. It is located a very short distance outside the walled city which means you are not overwhelmed by the cruise crowds. The apartment is 146 steps up from the road to the old town, so be warned. That wasn't an issue for us.

The host met us outside to let us in and give us a bit of a run down. The apartment was comfortable, bedroom and separate kitchen and separate foyer with lots of closet space... with a cute balcony and a view of the sea!
Banja Beach was a 5 min walk, all steps, down to the ocean and the Ploce gate to the old town another 5 mins of flat walk after going down the steps (cd alternately walk on the raid, which we hv been a tad longer but we be without the steep climb back up. Cd also take a bus, which we never did
The steps to climb up were a little tiring but very doable (and I hv one bad knee). As I said earlier, there are alternate options)

We loved our stay at Villa Leoni! Joseph was an excellent host who met us on arrival to provide keys, and provided an excellent resource in advance of the trip with information about local restaurants, activities, etc. The property has excellent views, and is in a great location just a few stairs above Banje Beach, and a short walk to the City Walls. I highly recommend hiking up to the Fortress Imperial (Tvrđava Imperial), located at the peak of Mount Srđ - beautiful views and wonderful museum of the Homeland War.

Amazing views. Very cute apartment. Comfortable and very safe. Super convenient location. Quieter than staying in the Old Town but still easily accessible. Close and easy to get to the cable car up to Mount Srd. The sunset up there is unmatched!
I lost my keys during my visit to Lokrum Island and the hosts were quick to help me and did not even charge me for the loss.
Nothing I didn't like.

View of the sea, walkability to the old town and to the beach, comfortable and private room, good coffee, parking,
Steep and 100 m long stairway to the property from the Main Street below or from the beach. To go up in the summer heat after long day, forget about it. We took taxi for $15 euros for maybe 1 km around the block and hill. Uber is not much cheaper. Bus would have been cheaper, but you have to take the right one.

Location is excellent! Really enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on our private terrace. So close to Old Town and Banje Beach! Joseph was very welcoming and super helpful.
Could have used more towels (wash cloth, etc) and newer towels.

Joe was a wonderful host! He met us once we arrived at the property. He quickly showed us how to work the air-conditioning, the TV, and the keys. He was so kind that he went and picked up our lost luggage at the airport and delivered it back to us. He provided wonderful recommendations and responded to messages very quickly. I would absolutely stay here again..

Joseph is a gracious host who helped provide a taxi from the airport and greeted us in person upon arrival. The A/C in this lodging was by far the best in our fifteen-day, eight city, four country tour of Europe. I would recommend booking at Villa Leoni!
We did underestimated the amount of steps from the apartment down towards the old city and learned quick to avoid them!

Great location with a private parking spot and very accommodating host! The apartment is outside the Old town, has a view of the Old town, has a good restaurant with local food close by and beach a short walk down the stairs! The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed- little kitchen to make breakfast, washing machine on site (huge plus when you have a little child). The air conditioner worked great and was life saving for mid-day nap! There are good amount of stairs going to the town which require some effort going up, but we did it multiple times with a 2 year old child and carrying a stroller- so it’s manageable. Joseph and Barbara were good hosts! great at communicating and very accommodating! He met us on arrival, provided a tour of the place and gave good recommendations. During departure day we overslept, and Joseph gave us extra time to peacefully pack and keep the car at the parking spot while we went to get lunch.
