Exceptional
Very clean apartment, lovely host who greeted us with the room ready for us and the key handover, giving us a walkthrough regarding the stay, surrounding area, facilities, checkout. The apartments on the second floor have a breathtaking view of the Lapad Bay. All kitchen amenities are available from kettle to microwave, fridge. Lovely bathroom with great shower and water pressure. The pool on the ground floor is accessible to everyone, much warmer water than the sea. The Uvala beach is very close, even closer are small rocks with handrails, you can sunbathe there and jump into the water. Next to the Villa Katarina are two bus stations for bus no. 5 who goes into the Old Town, available within a few minutes walk. And 10 minutes walk away is the Posta Lapad station where you can take several other buses, including no. 6. The promenade by the water is fabulous both during sunrise and sunset and there is also the pedestrian street with a ton of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, friendly cats all over. Two supermarket brands in the vicinity, Studenac and Tommy. Amazing area, very safe and quiet neighborhood with plenty to do and if you want to stay away from the crowds. When we return to Dubrovnik, we'll definitely be staying here again, would even love to move, I wouldn't change anything about your lovely villa. Doma smo - we are home. From Romania with love.

Poor
The location was great. Amazing view, close to beach and some food. A lot of stairs very high up the mountain.
Regarding the room it was fairly spacious. Not a lot of counter space and the towels were horrible. Plus the building had construction so it was very loud at 5am. You could hear everything in rooms next door. I wish I had spent an extra 50 for decent service and less stairs.
First and strongest point the staff was extremely rude. Because this was my first time traveling to this country I didn’t know our check in time. And I wasn’t able to respond until my layover flight had landed. I let them know 5-6 hours before we arrived (which was past check in period) and the lady who gave us the key was pissed. She scolded me for not responding to the text and wouldn’t listen to a word I was saying and kept trying to guilt trip me. I booked 3 other places similar and none of them have msgd me pestering me for a check in time. Every time she talked to us it was with a horrible attitude and dirty looks. She also tried to guilt trip us saying she couldn’t go home until we got there, which is not my fault her boss wouldn’t let her.

Fantastic view, especially from the upper level rooms - amazing in the morning!
A little far to walk to Old Town but the bus service was handy.

Disappointing
Good location for if you want easy access to the bay and only a ten minute drive to the old city. The bathroom, air conditioning and bed is good. However there is just about as good stuff as bad.
The male host was rude and clearly prioritized everything over customer service. Our kitchen broke before we used it, and his poor communication forced us to go to his house for help. While the issue was resolved quickly, he showed zero empathy. He strictly monitors air conditioning use and will send someone to your door to shut it off if you exceed his limits (not even mentioned) even when you're present. Additionally, he failed to mention that staff would randomly knock on our door to deliver supplies, catching us off guard. Overall, a frustrating experience.

Wonderful
The lovely view over the sea was gorgeous at sunset. Apartment was very spacious and more than big enough. Apartment had everything I needed and easy to check in and out
It was a bit far away from Dubrovnik old town but easily reachable by bus if you do not fancy the walk.

Wonderful
We loved the beautiful balcony and its view over the bay. It really never got old to wake up to the view of Lapad bay every day, watching the water, seeing the islands and the trees of the National park opposite. The hob and cooking facilities came in really helpful when we needed to cook (due to the high costs of the restaurants). The bathroom was small but very functional and nice shower. The plunge pool was so nice to use during the high heat. Most of all the lovely team that changed our towels every 2 days and a wonderful cleaning service halfway through stay. The girls were so kind and friendly and a pleasure to see around, they’d always help with any questions and helped arrange our taxi back to the airport. If not getting a bus, I’d thoroughly recommend asking the property to help with taxis, as airport taxis cost double! The welcome pack before staying was also very helpful, and our host kindly helped out when we had noisy neighbours.
A beautiful stay at Villa Katarina, in a luxury area for a very cost effective price. We felt incredibly lucky to be enjoying the same views and sunsets as those in the premium hotels below. We were able to walk down to the famous cave bar for a sundown drink right on the water. We adored Lapad’s scenery and the bay, with local supermarkets and restaurants in walking distance. Unfortunately we were surprised at the very high cost of dining, perhaps to be expected in a tourist area but we were not prepared for this. Dishes such as bolognese or past cost up to €27-30 so be prepared for this in your budget. We found an excellent fast food restaurant (Tuttobene) with many healthy options that was cheaper which we could bring back to the balcony. Several supermarkets are nearby which helped us with breakfast/lunch options.
The TV had little in terms of English channels, but to be expected, and not really needed on holiday but maybe on rainy days. WiFi was sometimes a little patchy.
We would have liked an extra few pillows on the bed for our preference but used the throw cushions from the sofa. A word of caution if booking the superior apartments at the top of the building, there are 2 flights of steep steps to consider if you are able to climb them/carry your bags.

THE VIEW WAS STUNNING FROM THE APARTMENT.
WE DIDNT USE THE POOL ALTHOUGH IT WAS VERY SMALL
LOACATION WAS GOOD ALTHOUGH THE FASTESR WAY DOWN TO THE MAIN STRIP WAS VIA 190 STEPS SO NOT SUITABLE FOR UNFIT OR PEOPLE WITH WALKING DIFFICULTIES.
FACILITIES WERE VERY GOOD ALTHOUGH AN OVEN WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE PLUS PROPER SUN LOUNGERS
PROPER SUN LOUNGERS
POSSIBLY MORE COMFY CHAIRS ON THE BALCONY
