The view from the hotel is amazing. The breakfast spread was extensive. The concierge, Anna, was warm & friendly.
She gave us a lot of useful info.
Another staff member from the concierge was not as helpful and attentive. She gave an agitated expression when I enquire more about shuttle & restaurant info. Is this not her role as a concierge??

Really exceeded expectations, stunning hotel, with everything you could ever ask for.
The only one problem we had was with how spread out the hotel is, and if you have kids or babies with a stroller, you are in for a problem as there are so many steps everywhere. They should warn you that this is how the hotel is built, because it can really be major issue.

We had a wonderful stay at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik, especially as a family. Even though we visited during peak summer season in July 2026, the hotel never felt overcrowded, which I think is largely thanks to the very spacious and well-designed grounds and layout of the hotel.
There really was something for everyone. Families can enjoy activities such as the kids’ club and mini disco, but everything was very well balanced and never felt too loud or overwhelming. We particularly appreciated the small touches, like the supervised drawing corner during breakfast. There were also plenty of options for nice activities, from table tennis and boules to the ones offered at the activity centre or simply relaxing in the peaceful spa area.
The staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally professional, friendly and helpful. They were efficient, knew what they were doing and responded quickly to any requests — something that unfortunately doesn't always seem to be a given anymore in hospitality. The cleanliness throughout the resort was equally impressive. Everything was exceptionally well maintained, including the public areas (e.g. the toilets around the pool and restaurant areas).
As a family, we particularly recommend the apartments, which have a very well-equipped kitchen and a nice terrass. If you have a car, it’s also worth doing your grocery shopping at a supermarket outside the hotel, rather than relying on the more expensive hotel shop.
Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced, and we really enjoyed it every morning. We also tried the themed evening dinners and, although they come at an additional cost, found them well worth it.
Overall, a fantastic family-friendly resort that manages to offer plenty of activities while still providing enough space and peace to truly relax. We would happily come back!

The service was exceptionally warm, attentive and thoughtful. The hotel enjoys a wonderful location with a truly outstanding sea view. We were especially impressed by the excellent breakfast in the Club Lounge, which was one of the highlights of our stay.
Some of the hotel’s facilities and room furnishings feel a little dated and could benefit from refurbishment. We also feel that the overall quality of the resort’s restaurants could be improved.

Everything! We will be back next year amazing resort with amazing food and amazing people beach, and the swimming pools were perfect and uncrowded
The only negative was one day at the beach bar the boy that waited on us had a very bad attitude and he said it was because we were all there on vacation and he was working??♀️

The people working there were great ?. Antonio specifically was very helpful.
Everything was great the only small issue is that there are parts of the kids club reserved for summer camps. But there are no signs so the kids go into those areas and then you have to explain to a little two year old toddler that he has stop playing. Anyone who haa a toddler knows how hard it is.

The view from our room was great and the snorkeling at the beach was good.
The hotel has a really weird and cold vibe. The staff is miserable and unhelpful. At one point early on in our stay, I asked for help from the concierge about options for booking a boat and it was like pulling teeth. She is clearly not in the right role and doesn’t realize she’s in the customer service business. We were placed in the farthest residences from the actual hotel and every time we left our room, it was a hike to get to anywhere. This hotel is also so far from the heart of Dubrovnik so finding an uber to even take us to and from was a huge ordeal and cost about 45 euros each way for our family of 5. The actual rooms are also lackluster (mattresses, pillows, towels are all very cheap). For what we paid ($1250/night), I wish we had gone with a different option.

Stunning! Quiet, everything you need! The water & beach were crystal clear. The staff was happy.
Wonderful Spa, had a super massage from Moi.
Food outstanding and over the top Gelato.
Are you kidding? This was paradise! I so very much wish we could stay longer.
They did have a huge sculpture that seemed so out of place made of wires… it looked like the hair you pull from a drain. So completely out of place for such a classy venue.

To be honest, this is a truly perfect place! The beach, the rooms, the food, the staff, and the entire property are all amazing. The views are absolutely breathtaking!
It’s a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.
The only small thing I noticed is that many people smoke on the beach near the sea. I’m not sure whether it’s allowed or not, but it doesn’t make the experience very comfortable.
Other than that, everything is perfect!
