Lack of a no loud speaker phone policy throughout the hotel. Rule of phone use given the 6 star rating , other customers in public areas disturbing phone activity a rule in place would help this problem.

The rooms are outdated, the carpet in the hallways are old and stained, the lighting in the bathroom is dim, and the lighting in the gym at night is also dim.

Comfortable beds and pleasant room and balcony.
Good choice of food at breakfast.
Walking distance to and from Old Town and Lapad centre.
Outdated bathroom. Had to step into the bath for a shower.
Extractor fan was not working along with toilet light.
Lightbulb in bedside lamp was not working.
Curtains did not fit the full window so light was able to shine through in the morning.
USB charger was not working.
Our room was 1715 and the fire doors were constantly slamming, very annoying at night and early morning.
All activity outside our room was
heard clearly even after putting the robes against the bottom of the door.

The view from a sea view twin on the eighth floor (floors descend down from lobby) was spectacular. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Get there early on weekends as it gets a bit crowded. Good selection of breakfast items and an omelet station. Coffee is available at request.
Excellent throughout but could add a sand volleyball court or two on one of the grassy areas atop the lower level of hotel as an additional activity for guests.

We had a waterfront room with a good view. Anytime out of the room onto the waterfront patio is not private as the rooms are tiered in a way that the person above can see below.
The room was a good size, the AC was good and the bed was comfortable. The old city is an uber ride away. The walk there is manageable but the road for pedestrians is narrow.
The breakfast is pretty good but there is no air conditioning. The lobby is also hot in the summer without AC.
The pool is nice and the lounge chairs looking at the water are good. There are steps to go down to the sea and it's perfect.

Unfortunately, the experience did not match the price we paid. When we arrived, our room had not been properly cleaned, and even after bringing it to the staff’s attention and asking for it to be addressed, there didn’t seem to be much urgency in resolving the issue.
We also had an ongoing problem with the bathroom shower clogging and not draining properly throughout our stay, which was frustrating and made the room feel less well maintained.
Service around the pool was also very mixed. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, while others were less welcoming. Overall, the pool service didn’t feel particularly attentive—it was often difficult to place an order for food or drinks, although it may have simply been that they were understaffed.
Overall, there were some positive aspects of the property, but the cleanliness, maintenance issues, and inconsistent service made the experience disappointing. For the price, I expected a much higher level of service and attention to detail.

Most amazing breakfast; I believe this is the best breakfast buffet I have seen out of many 5-star hotels I have been to. Amazing location. It is worth the price despite the minor details.
TV Doesn't have YouTube. Some parts of the room look older. The DJ in the beach lounge area has played loud turkish music instead of something relaxing.

The view of the Adriatic Sea from our room and terrace was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel’s facilities were beautiful, and we especially enjoyed the beach and pool areas. The property was wonderful and, overall, exceeded our expectations.
The room was not very clean. There were visible stains and residue on surfaces, including the bathroom, tables, and nightstands. It was disappointing and gave the impression that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned.

Our Spa Suite with Balcony and Sea view was unbelivable! The suite was very large and the balcony deck and view was amazing. We really enjoyed the pool area and swimming in the ocean. The breakfast buffet was very large and nice.

I was skeptical of the price, but Rixos Dubrovnik really delivered. A hefty walk to Old Town but do-able and the hotel amenities made it worth it. The pool area far exceed our expectations, and the swim hole in the Adriatic, right off the cliff below, is one of the best swim spots of any hotel I've ever stayed at, including Hawaii. There seemed to be enough loungers to accommodate all guests. Breakfast food was exceptional! The 'downtown' Dubrovnik SIXT car rental is on-sight so incoming or outgoing travel via rental car couldn't be easier. We rented our car for ongoing travel to Montenegro and back to to Dubrovnik airport, saving time and money on taxi. I would recommend friends headed to Dubrovinik to stay here.
If I had one complaint, it would be the lack of local staff, mostly seasonal help from nearby countries, which is fine but feels more corporate. Difficult to get a simple coffee or refills at breakfast.
