Loved our room with a view. The pool area was the BEST! loved the pool man, so friendly. Great view from the pool and having the option to swim in the pool or ocean was fantastic. Walk to the old town from there was downhill and easy.

The most amazing location, style, beautiful views, garden, all staff was amazing.
The hotel is going into major reconstruction, we are worried that it will use the vibe.

The view over the water is amazing. The pool and seafront dock are great for swimming. The breakfast was also top-notch.
On the inside, the hotel is a little shabby. It could do with a refurb.

We booked V. Argentina (VA) but were given a room in sister hotel next door , Villa Orsula (VO) -boutique hotel of 13 rooms but able to use all VA facilities . Think this may have been an upgrade as seemed more pricey but weren’t told it was ….. We loved the old style building although interior decor not much in keeping with architecture, but just about to be refurbished. Get a balcony as you over look old city walls - fantastic! Breakfast on terrace with views over city walls lovely ! Fresh orange juice , great cappachino , cooked eggs to order , fantastic croissant Staff all very nice too. We didn’t use our guaranteed table on the terrace in the evenings though & ate in the old city . 10 minute walk downhill . Pool - Gorgeous walk through garden ( down steep path and steps - but you could use VA lift )Small pool area but again super views & metal steps to sea . Didn’t really use other facilities at VA - a bit more like a conference hotel so we remained in VO .Views from bedrooms up there at VA might be slightly better as higher up & above trees ….
Not much ! VO lovely & hopefully will be refurbished more in keeping with its traditional architecture . Concierge could be a bit more helpful , especially if you do end up paying the list price for VO (€2000+ per night !!) as he couldn’t answer a few of our queries about the touristy facilities….
Pool floor / sides were a bit slimy with algae- not obviously cleaned & no obvious chlorine used . I stuck to the sea !

Comfortable room, amazing view, great pool area/access to sea is brilliant! Nice bar for light lunch during the day, great breakfast and friendly staff!
The hotel could do with being renovated, particularly the carpets, upholstery. There is wear and tear evident around the hotel in general. We had a very comfortable stay but given the price tag I’m not sure it’s value for money. Feels like more of a 4star.
