The receptionist put me in a room with no hot water, no heater. To take a shower I had to pay about 20 USD more for a second room before checking out ?

There was nothing wrong with the property

I guess they weren't going to clean the bedroom the next morning unless we left the key which was odd. Plus, just small things like the lack of soap and towels but for the price it was okay.

Quite frankly the shower head had electrical wires expo coming out of it. No wash cloths or hand towels.

I was charged 19 % more than what should be, because they were charging me the sales tax and city tax on the price already including the taxes. They argued the reason is for paying by credit card but the sales and city taxes were actually already included in the price they were charging me. Then they argued it was because of the Booking commission they were charging me. They used an abusive exchange rate to charge in lempiras but finally accepted to give me back the money I had been abusively charged. They also gave me a room that is not what I had booked. They gave me a single room and I had a quadruple room booked (because I had no other/smaller option at moment of booking). So basically paid 48 usd and did not get the room I booked (single room price roughly 35 usd after tax). I complained about it and the cleaner had no clue what I was looking for, she showed me another single bed room and then said that I don't "like" the room. It was hard for her to admit that I was just not getting what I had paid for. I eventually got the quadruple room that I had paid for but it soured deeply the relationship with the manager. Rooms are very very simple, no hand towel in the bathroom and no shower mat. Don't count on the "shuttle service" for the airport, they were going to actually call a Uber that costs 12usd to the airport and charge you 20usd for that. Given the circumstances I actually called the Uber my self at 3am in the morning.
