Very Poor
The only good thing was the location just in city center and the recommended Plataia parking .
I booked one family room for one night 29 may 30 may for me and my cusin .The price was huge 167 euro, but iI decided to book the room for the pics from booking.com and for the central location .In the end was a DISASTER.
We received room nr 211 which was unrenovated, not at all like in the pics from booking, bad smell, dirty walls , some black hairs under the bad sheets , the windows were small not long as per pics , the net from the windows was broken .,very old furniture..A total disaster. We decided not to stay , as we could not sleep in those conditions ,we left after 20 min upon our arrival ( after 9 driving hours)and we booked at 11 pm another hotel also via booking...
We requested our money back from Le Palace hotel even it was non refundable booking , as per all the above described reasons .The property refused , they propose only 80 euro as refund ( half of the money) but we do not agree...We want entire amount since it was a disaster and we were forced after 9 hours trip to book another hotel in middle of the night
I really believe that the unrenovated rooms like 211 must not to be rented at all ...but insted the hotel charged for such room 167 euro and said to us that the pics which I added to this review in comparison with the ones from booking were for the same room type
If the property will not refund us the money together with their apologize I will send my complaint to Greek National Turism Authority and also will announce Turistic Police ,as I reallly felt that I was robbed and cheated , and it is impossible to be treated like this in a nice country like Greece ,were we come with pleasure every time .
I wanted to write this long review in order that other guests not to have the same bad experience like us .
Hope that the property will return us the entire amount and that they will behave better in the future , with more respect and care for their clients

Poor
The location is very good and it was very close to touristic places and the restaurants.
The room was not related with the pictures, the shape of the room was completely different. I mase the reservation months before and requested double bed even though we found two single bed positioned together. The bed was tidy but the room was clean exactly and there was water inside the room.
The insulation was very bad and the corridors was very loudy.

Very Good
The location is great if you want to go shopping and enjoy the restaurants nearby by walk. Perfect place for short stay, no need to use transportation as everything is close.
Perfect breakfast and very good hospitality.
Would recommend it. For sure will come back again.
The hotel is a bit outdated but it is clean and well maintained.

Very Good
The location is great (in the heart of Thessaloniki), staff are very friendly, amenities are good, there are plenty of breakfast options and prices are affordable.
The elevator was quite small for how busy the hotel is.

The room was clean, the staff was nice.
The parking was an issue. There is no place to temporarily leave the car while you get information from the hotel about the parking spaces

Pleasant
Great location. Very central.
Rooms are absolutely falling apart. It’s filthy, moldy and too old. Renovation starts at 9:30 am despite the visitors are sleeping. Not good to hear powered tools working at that hour.

Wonderful
High level of hospitality. Clean and comfortable room with modern furniture and bathroom. Spacious terrace on the first floor overlooking Tsimisky Street. Excellent breakfast. Staff is smiled and always on your service. Safe and secured. Excellent value for the money and location.
I had a stressful experience with taking the suitcases out of the car to hotel.
Policeman came from the back, without verbal warning he took my license plates and wrote me a ticket. Hotel staff communicated to policeman but without success. I had to pay in a post office and later go to police station to get my plates back. I reccomend, don't ever stop your car in front of the hotel! It's better to go to Plateia parking directly, pay in advance at -1, highlighting that you're guests of La Palace hotel and then bring your staff to hotel. It's just a few minutes of walking
