The staf in the lobby was rude and stressful, the closet was smelled bad and I couldn't put my clothes in, very small elevator, old building with old furniture

Initially, I didn't have so many expectations, I thought it would only be a 3-star hotel, which is also a bit far from the center, but my expectations were exceeded!!! The size of the room is generous, we had a triple room and we didn't bump into each other at all, the bathroom was large, it had a large balcony, kettle, tea, coffee refilled daily, fridge. The breakfast was the best of the 3 locations where I stayed this vacation and I also stayed at a 4-star hotel in Kalambaka. The one from El Greco was far above the 4-star one! The distance from the center is small, you can find everything nearby, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets. I came from the airport by bus and the station is about 100m away. The internet worked extremely well and was never interrupted during the 5 days I was there!
The quality of the coffee at breakfast could be a little better and the shower was always a bit flooded, but anyway I gave it the highest mark!

Staff was great, especially the cleaning staff. One lady in particular, middle aged, made my day by being so lovely and accommodating. She was so kind. Reception staff was great too and really responsive. Great breakfast options
Room was tiny, no facilities in the balcony. The overall age of the hotel comes through, furniture is old and does not smell nice. The smell from the sewage woke me up one morning as it was so bad. The whole bathroom was leaking , the sink was leaking from the bottom, and the shower did not have a curtain or cover so ended up with a flooded bathroom. Really thin walls and could hear everyone coming back to the rooms even 2-3 floors down.
