We (a family with 2 children) arrived very early, at around 9 AM. Standard check in is at 2PM. The owner immediately invited us to take breakfast (even though our 1st breakfast should have been only the day after). It was just perfect: not too many things but just what you need in the morning. We enjoyed the pool with some cold drinks until the room was ready, it was a very good check in experience! The pool is perfect for both small children and adults and the pool bar is super convenient, to have a good relaxing day when it’s too windy for the sea or simply for a lazy morning. The restaurant of the hotel is quoted as one of the best in the region, and actually really good culinary experience in the evening with smooth music & a jazzy feeling. Everything outside is nicely decorated! Even though the in-door experience is not 5stars, everything is really clean, cleaning is performed daily and they change your towels whenever needed or any other two days. Really nice owners: you really feel that it is a family run business, with authentic attention to their customers and every detail. We will come back probably, even though we generally avoid going twice in the same place. A, the hotel is perfectly located, very close to a super market and also very close to the main bus stop 15. (The perfect way to travel across the island). Not to say that 2 perfect sandy beaches are at 5 min walking distance.
Trying hard to think of something because for us it really felt perfect. Maybe some updates on the inside furniture, the hair dryer & bathroom slight reshape would be great but for us those were just insignificant topics given the over all great value for money. Ah, and I would recommend adding some fruits for the breakfast but nothing more. :)

The hotel is located in a nice, wider place on the main road outside Skiathos town. This opens breathing space and allows a nice view from the balcony, including some slice of sea.
There are several good restaurants at 5 to 15 min walking distance in both directions. However, the hotel's own restaurant is exceptional. It's open until late in the evening and is a great option if you don't want to get out. It is also where a nice breakfast is served in the morning.
The swimming pool is relatively big and surprisingly deep at one of the sides. There is a small but perfectly sufficient pool bar too.
The rooms are basic but clean and functional. On the other hand, the common areas, especially at the front, are a true pleasure for the senses. Great simple Mediterranean design and warm atmosphere.
The parking is easy and practical in the rear garden. Some of the best beaches on the island are reachable in 10 minutes by car.
Overall, a great balance between silence, nature, style and hospitality (wonderful staff!) We would be very happy to stay in this place again someday.
During the night, especially in the very early morning, it is often impossible to keep the windows open because of the road noise. This is a real pity because otherwise both the air and the views are fantastic.
The shower and its cabin in the bathroom should be renovated.

Location was excellent. Very clean.
Breakfast. Cold coffee and cold bacon. Fried eggs always hard.
Aircon not cold.
Toilet system kept failing. Owner came to fix but happened again straight away.
Noise from road whilst on balcony. Staff were very accommodating so should have asked to move rooms but didn’t want the upheaval.

Just returned from an amazing 14 days in Hotel Marina and cannot express enough the wonderful time we had. Yannis, his wife Angela and two daughters hospitality is second to none. Such a nice family who would do anything to help. The breakfast was really delicious and everything from yoghurt, fresh fruit, nuts, cooked breakfast, varieties of pastries, cold meats and cheese. Bus service is brilliant 2 or 3 euros. No15 bus just a short distance from hotel. Such a convenient hotel to walk to beaches or bus anywhere. You’d need a car for mountains. The restaurant for evening meals at hotel is also very nice, good chef. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed. Overall the place was extremely clean and nicely run. If there was anything missing Yannis or Angela would sort immediately.

We had a great stay, the breakfast was delicious, rooms are cleaned everyday, bed is comfortable and the owners are very nice people, only downside was that there were only two power sockets and they weren’t near the bed, they were in the kitchen and near the bathroom. But other than that everything was great. Would definitely go back :)

Great location on walk distance from 2 nice beaches and many restaurants, friendly staff, comfortable bed and pillows. good breakfast, everyday cleaning, nice restaurant for dinner.
A bit noisy at mornings if you sleep with open balcony doors, due to the nearby road.
