Once we had upgraded to one of the new rooms, we were more than happy with our accommodation. Our room was large, with a separate lounge/dining area and small kitchenette. We had a fairly large walk in shower, with toilet and a separate sink outside. The decor was modern and clean. The hotel had a lovely roof top bar and the staff were always very accommodating with supplying us with meals and drinks, any time of day. Breakfast was fairly basic, but good and you could help yourself to as much as you wanted, coffee was also good.
My only gripe was that the pool is mostly shaded by the hotel, only about 4 sun loungers on the terrace accessed any sun, but beaches down the hill could easily be accessed by a 20 min walk. If your looking for a quiet beach, then Dio Beach was by far the best we found.

The hotel exceeded my expectations with its clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff. The location is perfect for exploring the region, and the breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, a great value for the price!

Cleaner and Julie in rooftop bar were brilliant
Breakfast was a bit hit and miss - cold eggs one day.
Pool in the shade all day bar a couple of loungers. Pool felt like a bit of an after thought.

breakfast was fine, a mixture of hot (usually eggs and bacon) and cold meats and cheese, sometimes no crosoints or bread available. Coffee, juices available, staff very helpful The location was excellent close to bars resturants and shops. We walked most days to Dia pitch ( very sandy, not too busy and less commercial activity)and continued occasional along the seafront to Stablis
Lady who cleaned the apartment was very good, also very friendly, the manager less so. the apartment was a bit dated but cleans and spacious. Did'nt like the shower curtain.

How quaint and Greek the establishment was. Beds very comfortable and rooms cleaned very well. Location superb, staff fantastic.
The pool doesn’t get the sun from about 1:30 which was a shame as would have liked to stay around the pool a bit more.

Our 6-day stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional, and the hospitality we experienced truly elevated our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and ease. They assisted us not only with the car rental but also helped coordinate everything we needed throughout our stay.
The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. They provided valuable tips on local attractions, dining options, and transportation, which greatly enhanced our experience. Whether it was arranging excursions, giving directions, or accommodating our specific requests, the staff’s attention to detail was evident.
One of the highlights was the seamless assistance we received on both ends of our trip. Upon our arrival, we were greeted warmly, and all logistical aspects, such as renting the car, were taken care of efficiently. On our departure day, they arranged a comfortable ride to the airport, making the entire process stress-free.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, providing a relaxing environment after long days of exploring. Each staff member was professional, friendly, and genuinely invested in ensuring we had the best experience possible.
Overall, the outstanding service and warm atmosphere made our stay truly memorable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and top-notch hospitality.

Breakfast was poor Luke warm scrambled eggs hard boiled eggs stale bread and what looked like mashed up quiche but didn’t taste it some ham sliced cheese and sliced tomatoes
Locality was brilliant
Roof top bar went twice first time no no appeared to serve us second time very friendly bar person unfortunately did not stock the drink we like cider and sweet wine not a lot to ask for
Pool area clean no atmosphere in the shade a lot
Room was spacious and clean
Room nothing like in the photo bare wires from wall one plug socket hanging out of wall pipes coming out of the floor
Poor cooking facilities
Never seen much of the staff no one to book us in when we arrived handed keys to cleaning lady when we left

Location in the village, bar and the staff. The fact there were no kids in the pool! Buffet breakfast was nice, hotel was very clean
Our room was quite noisy with a big downpipe in our bathroom that was loud when other rooms showered/flushed toilet. The air con was not in the bedroom but we were cool enough. The pool is in the shade a fair bit (we were aware of this when we booked) so if it's busy you don't get sun. Our balcony was tiny and our towels got damp as the floor kept getting wet from somewhere.

Gorgeous roof top bar, perfect pool, lovely room, great location a few steps away from all the bars and restaurants of Koutouloufari and the kindest, most welcoming staff.
A few reviews criticised the rooms because they were expecting one of the refurbished suites, but as long as you double check the name of the room against the photos you won’t be disappointed. We knew we hadn’t booked one of the fancier rooms and we were delighted with what we got! Everything was in good working order and in perfect condition. Incredible value for money, will definitely book again next time we’re looking for a Cretan holiday.

Good sized room with nice outdoor seating. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable. Staff were really kind and helpful.
No facilities in the room to do washing up despite having cookware. Pool needed cleaning after a few days.

Lovely, friendly and hardworking staff, always greeted us with a smile!
The location is excellent for this part of the island. The hotel is right in the middle of the village with so many amazing restaurants and bars minutes away.
10-15 minute walk to Hersonissos and 20 minute drive to Heraklion.
Beautiful rooftop bar with an incredible view
I think we might have gotten the worst room in the hotel. We knew we didn’t book in time to get one of the modern, refurbished rooms but our room did not live up to the photos. Warm water was scarce so it was all cold showers, the ‘sofa’ had no back cushions so it was only useful for storage of clothing which meant there wasn’t a comfy place to sit in the room. The curtains let a lot of light in so you are woken up quite early. There was no TV or cooking equipment despite the photos. Wifi was also weak/not existent. The front door of the room had gaps all around so when someone was cleaning outside, water came in underneath the door. The pool was nice but there isn’t much room around to sit/lounge so it filled up fast. The outdoor balcony was big and well equipped but unfortunately for most of the stay we shared it with a lot of ants. Finally, the rooms weren’t very sound proof so if someone was up early or late it woke us up.
I do think every other room in this hotel was better than ours and that we just got unlucky but we wouldn’t go back I’m afraid
