everything was horrible, the place smelt horrible. The doors are huge wooden doors that were hard to open. The shower door was rusty and would not close. The owner of the property was very unpleasant. We arrived at the place and there was a note on reception door with my name and room number on it, nobody was there to greet us. After we entered the room I saw the owner and wanted to ask a few questions and give him my passport number but he was in a rush to get to a meeting so he left. The next morning he came to our room requesting the passport number when he saw a little kitten sitting under our outside table and practically through the table and chair at the kitten. He started yelling at me like a mad man that we cannot feed the cats and that this was his property. When I mentioned why the room was so disgusting his answer to me was "what do you expect from a one star" and that's when I got really upset and started yelling back at him. This was listed as a 3 star but it is definitely a 1 star and if we can go less than 1 star that is what I would rate this place and the owner.

The owner is very helpful. It was very good, that after every day we could go to the pool and swim cool down. Bed matress were comfortambe. There was air conditioning, but it was not necessary to use since the orientation of the appartment and the good wind from the sea. Perfekt cleaning was on every day.
Even it was stated, there is a kitchen corner, it was not easy to cook. Only one oven had worked and there was not enough baking dish and enough fork, knife, spoon, glasses (only the number of the family from everything) . Renovation would be necessary in that appartment, where we stayed. . Even with this disadvantage the cost-benefit ratio was good of the place and we would stay there....

Medausa Villa consists of a couple of adjoining houses and a very nice swimming pool / sunbathing area. It´s in a very quiet neighbourhood a short walk from old town Hersonissos (not be comfused with the party town down on the beach. If you wantto go to the beach is´s a short drive or a 35-45 minutes hike on foot. But why bother when you have a sweet pool and can chose between sunbenches!) In old town Hersonissos there are many nice reataurants and the vibe is to die for. The suites, while not luxorious, are very comfortable, each with a little semi-private outdoors area witb a table and some chairs and couches,
Nothing really. I found it a a bit difficault to get to and from, but from the week I have stayed here in Crete so far, that is normal for the Cretan road system. You have to have you A-game on while driving here.

As always Nikos is the most friendly host, the apartments and poolarea are superclean and it is a nice small complex which is perfect if you want to enjoy peace and quite time. Just 5 minutes walk from Old Hersonissos with many local restaurants and a very nice atmosphere. Great location to make daytrips as it is at a perfect spot to enter the main road.
