The hotel has California coastal vibe with its red tile roof and white furniture. I loved the rustic wood beams on the ceiling and the decor in general. The hotel reminded me of an hotel I stayed at in Malibu, California some years ago. Our room was very nice with a small pool off the patio. The WiFi worked very well. The beaches near the hotel are epic and gorgeous. Clear clean water for swimming and snorkeling. The food at the buffet was well presented and flavorful. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace overlooking the pool with the ocean in the background.
I wish the hotel would play modern Cretan music. People come to Greece to experience the culture and this includes the music. Crete has so many great composers and performers like Nikkos Xilouris and Psarantonis. I would have loved to sit outside on the terrace looking out to the sea listening to local music.

Good Breakfast and Dinner with a lot of variety.. Nice pools. Wonderful staff ! Nice balcony at room.
The bathroom is small and not comfy. Bathtab is small. Room furniture needs refurbishment. And mattress was not good.
Location is quite far from the center where all night life happens. So of night life is important for you, look for other place to stay.

Loved the staff. Very friendly, kind, available. Clean rooms, they came in every day to clean and tidy up. Gorgeous gardens! Great view of the sea from the gate.
Not much to improve that would make a significant difference.

Very good comunication with the emplyees at reception, the open pool was nice.
The cleaning women left our door open all day, did not close it while we were away all day. When choosing the room with a shared-private pool you either get a private side of the property but without the sun and pool doesnt heat up during day or you get the sunny side which is on the main path of the hotel and everyone is walking past you + the pool on the sunny side was dirty and noone cleaned it for the 4 days we were staying there. Breakfast selection did not really change.
And the room is very noisy - fridge, electric circuit and you can hear everything that is going on in the hall and adding to that the cleaning laydies start their duties at 8:00 AM and are very loud pushing stuff around other rooms.

Seafront location, comfortable spacious room and bathroom. Also friendly/helpful staff, excellent swimming facilities, and good choice of food at breakfast and dinner. The Maitre D Georgios and waiters were attentive . The receptionist Angeliki was charming and spoke many languages fluently.

Superb location with stunning views, lovely natural beach with crystal clear waters. Charming well-designed complex with amazing flora and fauna, all very well maintained and tidy. Very polite friendly staff especially George the restaurant manager. Wonderful choice and quality of food, including lunch at the pergola - so conveniently placed near the beach - staff again very polite and friendly. We will come again for sure (God willing)!
A shaving kit for me would have been useful - but that’s all ?

Hot and cold buffet food was very good. Plenty of variety and nice Greek dishes too. Location was right on the beach front, with easy walking distance of a couple of local tavernas and several textile and one small nudist beach. The hotel itself is about 400m from where Hersonissos starts to get busy. If you like a walk into the town, then it's great. Room kept spotless daily, as was the communal areas of the hotel.
Looking a little dated in certain areas. Toilet seat loose, one of the pools had green algae around the edges and hadn't been cleaned for months. Whereas the other pool was spotless, and we saw this being cleaned regularly. If you're getting a coach to the hotel, the road is too narrow to drop off/pick up outside, so you have a 5 minute walk.

Our flight home was delayed, and the hotel we were at was fully booked, so we stayed one night at the Hersonissos Maris. We loved the quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Dinner was great and we especially enjoyed the fabulous Greek evening (dancing and music). We lucked out as this occurs once every two weeks.
Our room was spotless, and the AC was excellent. The bathroom was small but sufficient. Our room had a mini bath, which would be difficult for elderly people and those with mobility issues.
All the staff that we met were very nice and helpful.
I didn't like the high bathtub wall.

The receptionist were very polite and they had also board games for the clients to take them to the room. Food was quite good
There were damp walls and rust in the premium rooms. Also even though we had a private shared pool, it wasn’t permitted to use whenever we wanted, only for 10 hours .

Disappointing
The courtesy of the hotel employees, the staff makes sure to clean the rooms well, the pools were clean
The food was not tasty, and the variety was poor, the dining room was always full of smell of cooking, so after you finish eating, you have to change your clothes from the smells that stuck to the clothes,
the equipment in the rooms is very old, and mostly unusable, the air conditioner is old and noisy, the bathroom is very old, The toilet seat is not working properly, there is no ventta to pump the steam and smells

No bar at the swimming pool, and no attractions for the kids, deckchairs always busy on the swimming pool "conquered" and marked by towel as left by "conquerors" who happen to be elsewhere
