The owners are really nice people and always kind and helpful to us since the beginning.
The house was a bit overwhelming at first, felt like a little castle in the interior with paintings and victorian like furniture.
The breakfast was really good with traditional cretan breakfast (omelette, greek yoghurt with fruits, jam with butter, flavoured coffee, fresh fruits)
The jacuzzi was nice but made a lot of noise at night.
The matrimonial bed was really small, i have 1.78 and i really struggled to not touch the end of the bed and wake up.
The lightning switch ergonomics downstairs can be a bit improved.

First of all, we looked for traditional greek place to stay and Casa di Veneto made our stay more than perfect! Very elegant , I loved the vibe of the place ….my favourite time was the breakfast,the table always prepared in a very elegant style in a very nice courtyard ( love the plants also???) : for me was elegant French style with the touched of Greek hospitality and of course the cakes specialities !!!We were spoiled every morning.My daughter enjoyed maxim? !!!Thank you for the very kind, generous couple ( the owner ) who made our holiday perfect!!

Miss Rena and Mr Giannis made sure that everything was perfect during our stay! Amazing room, very beautiful location, and such kind-hearted people. Our room was getting cleaned every day, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Thank you for everything!

The location is in a charming old town (village) close to restaurant area. It's 25-30minutes walk (7-8 taxi) to Hersonissos centre and the beach.
Lovely elderly couple own the hotel and there's a very sweet and helpful Sarah who speaks english very well so she's there for any extra help you might need.
The pool area is not available for everyone!
:( That was a bit misleading (using that picture).
The lady will come clean your room when you're out and even tidy up and rearrange your stuff so that was a little weird but sweet i guess. I wish i'd known she'd go in and do that, i wouldn't leave everything so messy ? I recommend having those "please (don't) clean my room" signs in the future! :)

This place is a hidden gem!!! You should definitely stay here. The price of the room includes an incredible greek breakfast!!!! The people who own this place were the nicest we met on the island.

The hotel is just wonderfull! The host is very nice and welcoming. The breakfast is made and served by them, everything delicious. The room is like a history lesson. Not big, but with beautiful furniture, very clean, AC, we stayed in no 6 and we had in front chairs and a table, just marvelous! The parking is very close and even in the evening we found a place. The village is very nice, plenty of terraces and good food. A lot of tourists coming with taxi to have a nice evening.

It is a precious hotel in a historic house. It’s very cozy . The rooms are comfortable and elegant, with antique furniture. The family who owns it incredible.
The woman, Irini also makes breakfast from scratct with sobe ingredients from the garden. The patio is very serene. The environment is very quiet though very close to the square from the village with plenty of restaurants.

Breakfast was awesome. Handmade and brought to you in a very cosy little patio. Best breakfast we had in 2 weeks in Crete !
The owners were nice, unfortunately, due to barrier language we couldn't talk a lot with them.
The little village is really beautiful, with many great restaurants (touristic, but very good nonetheless) around.
We would have love to be able to talk more to the owners.
The bed was comfortable but a tad small (I'm a "bear" kind of gabarit though).
It was hard to prevent light to come in in the morning and wake you up with the curtains.

Breakfast was superb. Our hosts were exceptional and made us feel like we were guests at their home. They couldnt do enough to make us feel welcome.
Our room was a good size and very clean. There were plenty of towels and a nice bathrobe. My only comment was that there was not really enough light for me to be confident I was doing my makeup properly. There was no light near the mirrors, and the lights in the bathroom were quite dim. Ordinarily in summer this would not be an issue as I don't wear makeup. However as i was there for a formal occasion I needed to be presentable. I would suggest better lighting in the bathroom.

We absolutely loved our stay. You could instantly tell that the owners loved their hotel and took pride in the aesthetics and hosting guests. Our breakfast was flawless, exactly what we could have hoped for. Every day we had a slight variation of the same thing which was all delicious and thoughtfully chosen. The beds we're extremely comfortable and the linen was spotless. The two days we spent in the suite we're fantastic and I'd definitely recommend booking this even if there's just 2 of you. The bathrooms we're beautiful, our original room didn't have a shower head holder but the suit did so this made it easier to shower. The pictures on the website couldn't be more accurate, what you see is what you get. It really is that beautiful and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean and in keeping with their traditional vibe.
We felt a little mislead by the listing on booking.com as having a private pool that we would have access to. The suite on the top floor has a private hottub that is only available to those staying in the suite. We were able to upgrade for 2 days and stay in the suite but apart from that it was fully booked. Understandable. On arrival we were told not to leave our key in the lock inside the room as this would be a problem. The doors are heavy doors and would naturally swing closed behind you. On our last night we both stepped out of our room and let the door close behind us. At 11:00 at night we were locked out. The owners had a family emergency and werent on site, all our belongings, passports etc we're inside the room. We contacted booking.com and they contacted the son who arrived half an hour later. Luckily there was a window in the door that we hadn't locked and we're able to open this and get back into our room. Had this not have been the case we would have had to miss our flights and find accommodation with no passports or money/cards for the night or possibly longer. With the key in the other side of the door we would have needed a locksmith to gain access. This was 11:00 on a Saturday evening. Thankfully everything was OK but the panic was real! I appreciate this was completely our fault, I just wish it wasn't so easy to lock yourself out.

First I would really appreciate the hosts who are so friendly and prepared a delicious breakfast every day.
We had the suite with terrace and the room was really clean and cosy. There are some Restaurants around with authentic food and the taste was incredible. The rooms terrace with the private whirlpool was really nice to use for relaxing.
All in all we can totally recommend this stay.
