The staff are really friendly and want you to enjoy the stay. Food was fairly decent for breakfast and lunch.
This property needs some serious upgrades, very surprised based on the reviews from other guests. It is not a hotel, it is an apartment block. The view to the sea is nice, but it is facing a barren field which doesn't add to the aesthetic. The town is close, lovely restaurants, but the age profile is over 60 so good to know if you plan on staying for a few nights. Old Hersonissos is a good lunch trip, but there are much prettier areas to stay closer to the sea.

Lovely hotel & service. Thanks to Eli, Elias, Ricardo & all the team at Bella Vista, Old Hersonissos for your hard work to make your guests feel very welcome & well received & local information very useful too. Breakfast was outstanding & generous & a good choice of menu available daily. The rooms & all areas of the hotel were kept in pristine condition & clean.
The beds were a little too firm for us but that is a personal preference & not a critical comment!

Perfect hosts and a very convenient location. Elli, the owner, went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and that we had a great experience. Even when our plans changed, she was more than willing to accommodate us and help us find a solution. The breakfast was also very tasty with lots of options. We will definitely stay there again when we come back to Crete!

Nice hotel, near the centre of Old Hersonissos. We got packed breafast as we had to leave early in the morning. Staff was nice and friendly.

We stayed at Bella Vista just as everywhere was going into lock down a couple of years ago. We were made fantastically welcome then and so had to come back and visit this time round. Nothing had changed and we were so pleased to see Pannos, the owner, and catch up. Almost as if we hadn't been away. Thankyou.

Location is excellent for people with a rental car. In general quiet area, but restaurants and shops are a short walk away. Amazing view from the balcony and a great warm pool for swimming. Very clean and well equipped rooms. The staff is very nice and flexible.
Beach is not in walking distance for families with small kids. No big supermarkets around to get the essentials. For those who consider to have breakfast and dinner included in the price - note that they are served by the menu, not buffet. The restaurant offers a fair variety of different meals, but if you stay for a week then you run out of options to choose from. Breakfast was every morning more or less the same and the portions are rather small. For dinner the drinks are not included.

I was mistaken in thinking this was a hotel near the airport but I thought it was well designed and equipped.
I did feel the swimming pool was too small for the number of people using it and wheras we would normally have swum before breakfast we didn't want to use the pool that so many people had been using it the evening before.

Enjoyed the breakfast, lovely swimming pool, room fully equipped and had two balconies. The staff very friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and perfect for our stay! A taxi was arranged to pick us up from the airport.
No negatives!!
