Exceptional
This is truly an exceptional property: a beautifully restored/renovated Turkish governor's summer house built in the 1870's, right on the malecon. The interior has been lovingly maintained, marble floors and stairs everywhere, fantastic balcony overlooking the water, beautiful and spacious back patio area with pool and gorgeous plantings. The staff are lovely, friendly people, very attentive and welcoming. We were invited to order breakfast every evening for the following day and could specify where we would like to be served: in our room, out by the pool, on the balcony. We ordered omelottes with bacon and vegetables, soft-boiled eggs, croissants, yoghurt, orange juice, pots of coffee, fruit salad - everything cooked to order and fresh ingredients. Unexpectedly, towels and linens were changed daily. As this stay was the midpoint of our 3-week visit to Greece, we needed to get some laundry done and they cheerfully arranged for our clothes to be picked up, laundered and returned at the end of the day for a very reasonable fee, enabling us to get in more sight-seeing rather than spend the time in a downtown laundromat. We felt very, very well cared-for and this place added so much to our enjoyable week-long stay in Chania.
Please note that this observation doesn't qualify as something we "didn't like" but as a caution for visitors with similar considerations: tight spiral stairways. My husband is 81 and beginning to experience some imbalance issues so navigating the European-style spiral stairs is becoming a concern

Wonderful
This place is a gem - walkable to the old town area but still feels quiet and removed . They have private parking which was a huge perk for us with a baby. The building is beautiful and the terrace was lovely for breakfast. The staff are all very kind and helped us out a lot. The room was comfortable.
Mosquitoes around the garden area. The multi level room is very cool and we enjoyed it, but would not recommend for children.

This is a beautifully built and maintained mansion, with comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and, above all, a family-feel service. Gives you the perfect feeling of chania’s history and natural beauty. Refreshing pool in a beautiful garden. The staff are simply amazing, give great care and advice. Most highly recommended!

Wonderful
Beautiful old building with a lot of charm and personality. Amazing views from the bedroom and the balcony where we had breakfast.
The swimming pool area is also lovely.
The suites were big. We really liked the split level one.
Staff was very friendly.
The windows were a bit old, not fully soundproof.

Wonderful
My daughter and I loved the location of Villa Andromeda. It was a 10 minute walk into the old town, located by the sea. We loved having breakfast on the balcony watching the sun rise over the mountains and roof tops, with the sound of the sea as a back drop. The staff were all very warm and welcoming; Anna, Emmanouela and Spira on reception were fantastic at accommodating our late arrival and arranging a fantastic walking tour around Chania.

Very Good
Super friendly and helpful staff. You could ask for a range of things for breakfast; ommelette, scrambled egg, yoghurt, fruit, as well as the usual bread/croissants. Home made jams were lovely.
There are two small flights of stairs in the split level suite, which were tricky at night, so care needed.

Everything. The staff were exceptional - could not be more kind, thoughtful and helpful. The view from the balcony is sensational. Breakfasts were lovely. There are exceptional restaurants nearby and it’s an easy walk into town or to a sandy beach. The rooms were spotless and well appointed with everything you need (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, glasses, cutlery, plates, corkscrew). The pool/garden area is gorgeous and very relaxing.
If you’re clumsy - would recommend the single level suites.

Amazing place to stay in, the property is so beautiful located in a really accessible spot. The staff were so nice (shout out to Anna) who helped us organize some of our taxi's and gave us great recommendation's for restaurants and beaches. We felt really taken care of and supported. The breakfast was incredible and looked forward to eating it wherever you want in the morning! Will miss this place, and hope to return again in the future.

This is an excellent, small hotel, that's perfect for couples. The rooms are large, with a separate lounge area. There's a lovely garden, with a good sized swimming pool. The communal balcony is wonderful for breakfast.
Some rooms aren't suitable for the less mobile, and it's a short distance from town. This was totally fine for us, but may not be for some people.

Beautiful, Historic,Traditional building facing the sea and with exceptional staff. 15-20 min walk to the Old Town and Venetian port. Also a couple of amazing waterfront restaurants just a 5 min walk away.

Beautiful old building, which used to be an embassy. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Very large rooms - i was a late booking and on the ground floor - the upstairs rooms with a mezzanine bedroom looked fantastic.

Absolutely superb place, old fashioned and yet all mod cons. Staff wonderful, plenty for breakfast, breathtaking views, neighbourhood genuine and not in the touristy centre, pool lovely. It is not cheap but Chania is very expensive. Also close to several good restaurants. Our room was on two floors as are rooms 5 to 8, some of them with side sea views, others with full sea views. Splendid balcony with stunning views for breakfast, or you can eat in the garden or even in your room. We shall be back!
The sofa bed in the downstairs room was a little hard, but that is nitpicking and subjective as everything else was fantastic.

Excellent breakfast. Beds were firmer than US standards but comfortable for Europe. Pillows comfortable. Very clean. Great location, good security. Rooms are spacious. Small boutique hotel that is very charming with great character. Views are amazing.
Pool was clean but too deep 4 ft to 12 ft and there are no stairs to enter. The ladder doesn't extend far enough into the water to allow a person with limited mobility to easily use the pool. Small hot tub that isn't heated would be easy to enter though as an option
