Ionis (pronounced Yanis) is a very welcoming person. The rooms are located in the center of Old Chania, providing a vivid experience of the rich life. From the balcony you can see the ocean and the beautiful streets.
The room are amazing. Clean, comfortable and well equiped.
Ionis is not only very nice, but also knowledgable and helpful. Where its best to park (no oarking in the old city is available for guests), where to shop, etc.
We had 3 amazing days.

You cannot throw toilet paper in the toilet. In all Crete...

The location is perfect. In the heart of the old port but a short walk to the "newer" part of the town. Quite a spacious room, comfy bed, excellent shower.

Very centrally located - right in the old town
Our flight delayed and arrived around midnight, however our host was kind enough to stay up and ensure we reach safely?
People with heavy luggage may find it difficult since there are no lifts.
Also it's located on the pedestrian street so carrying heavy luggage can be a problem

The room is gorgeous. Comfy bed and bedding. Excellent shower and plenty of hot water. Perfect location. Lots of natural light. Gentle, kind, informative host. Great communication. Everything was perfect. I couldn't ask for better accommodations than with Jainnis. Thank you!!

Beautiful clean room with amazing views. Loved the balcony. Ionassis was the most perfect host, so friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for him. So impressive with the welcome we received. There was wine, beer, water, fruit and preserves all waiting for us. We could hear some noise from the street below but it was fun to people watch and enjoyed experiencing the hustle and bustle. We would not have missed the chestnut seller wheeling hot coals on a barrow below us in the street! . What a fabulous place Chania is, so much to do and see. Literally hundred of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Beaches fabulous. We cannot recommend it enough. We had the best holiday, we will certainly be back.
There was nothing that was negative. Other reviewers have mentioned the stairs, but honestly do not let this put you off, just ask for a room on a lower floor.

The manager, Ioannis, was fantastic, from changing my original booking, to keeping in touch re arrival/directions, etc. When I got near to Chania Town in my rental car, I couldn't find parking and got stuck down a one-way street. Ioannis, who had been waiting for me at the Santrivani Rooms came with me to find parking a few blocks away. He couldn't have been a better host. My room was really spacious, nicely decorated, with fridge and a lovely patio to sit and watch the world go by, with a view of the sea at the bottom of the lane. It was so handy and easy to walk around all the little side streets and have dinner around the port area. I'd definitely recommend Santrivani Rooms.
Nothing. The only thing I would say is, if you have a car, to get to Chania Town early before the stalls/shops open at 10am to ensure you can get parking nearby.

The host Mr Ioannis was exceptional! He had attention to all details, makes anything possible - even a bit early check-in or bit late checkout.
Location was known to us so we were very happy. Rooms are large with comfy beds, some essentials offered by the host!

Location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town. Beautiful spacious rooms with high beamed ceilings and original walls. Yiannis the owner was friendly and very helpful.
Nothing. A balcony would have been a nice extra but some of the other rooms have them.
