It's too far away to walk to the town, especially back as it is uphill, but the worst is the attitude of the owner - highly non-professional!
The owner cancelled my reservation with Booking when I have already checked in the property, thus making me pay a higher rate than what was on the Booking platform. His excuse, because I called on phone, was that I didn't do the reservation through Booking..? Then how am I able to fill in this rating form??

Nothing particularly good
The room was kind of dirty, and the furniture was old with an uncomfortable bed. The shower was not closed from all sides, so when you take a shower, everything gets wet. A mop is not provided, so we could not clean the mess.
I had called the owner in order to ask if one more person could join us, and he said yes. He then asked me to send him a written viber message telling him that we would be 4 persons instead of 3 so that he was informed in a written way. When we arrived we didn't have enough towels and pillows for 4 persons and when i asked for more he was surprised that we were 4 and tried to put the blame on me even though i had written evidence.
Last but not least, the cleaning lady was entering the room every day even though we had a sign on the door requesting not to enter the room. She came in, took the trash from the bins, and didn't bother to even vacuum the room. She should not enter the room in the first place as we had the sign outside the door, or instead of disobeying the sign and just taking the trash, she could at least also clean the room.
Very disappointing, will not stay again there.

We liked the neighborhood and the view from the balcony. There was plenty of space for parking. The WiFi connection was excellent.
It was too expensive for the facilities it offered. The room was too small for two people. The fridge wasn't working. The host was not welcoming and was quite rude. The apartment on booking is in the category of accepting pets and our dog traveled with us. We chatted with the host two days before our arrival and informed them about the dog. They informed us about an extra fee about the pet. When we arrived, the host saw our dog and said "What is that??" and that was the first words we exchanged. The host was biased against the dog even after we reassured them about our dog's behaviour, age and experience with apartments. Also, the room was not clean. The sheets had stains on them. The toilet had a yellow stain on it. The ashtray on the balcony was full of cigarettes and the balcony was dirty.

The view from balcony was amazing. You could see the whole city from there. Also the aparthotel is in quiet neighbourhood.
The bed is so small that you couldnt turn during the night without kicking the other person. We are not very tall but our foots barely fit into bed. We also didnt have any sponge to clean the dishes, also there were no spoons to eat with.
The AC is making a lot of noise so you have to turn it off during the night and we were awake the whole night because of the heat. Also there is no door on the shower so the whole floor was always wet.

We stayed in one of the top floor apartments which was rather spacious and clean, comprising of a separated bedroom and living room, and a balcony. Beds could have been more comfortable though, but overall it was a nice experience.
Wifi was not the best. Also dog barking in the building was annoying.

Apartment was good with nice view.
The lighting was poor so the apartment was little bit dark. The mattress of the ned was hard and not good quality. The air-conditioning didn't work and there was only one thin blanket within closet. The worst thing is that the hotel charged me higher price than the price was mentioned in my reservation because of the dog we had with us. I asked twice the hotel before proceeding with my reservation if there is an extra charge on the pet and no one answered me and neither I got informed in advance for the extra charge of 15 euros. Yes they charge 15 euros for pet and they supposed to be a pet friendly hotel...
Totally unprofessional behavior and they cheated me in a sneaky way. Pet friendly hotels and professionals are not like that.
Shame on you.

Disappointing
The check-in experience was terrible, we got to the place and nobody was there, even though we arrived at the informed time. Luckily, we found an open entry on the side of the building an the owner replied saying we could get in. At the next morning, we left without even meet him.
As for the apartment, even though it was nice, it was not as the ones i saw in the photos, it was considerably smaller and less furnished.

The appartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable throughout. It was equipped with everything we needed. Modern furnishing and the perfect size. Situated in a quiet location and only a five minute drive to Chania centre.
