I liked that they tried to keep the charm and character of the old building as much as they could.
The room they gave us was unacceptable. You can definitely get much better rooms at this price range. The windows were facing an empty space and a tree was blocking all the light so you needed the lights on most of the day and they had really awful white lights that made me feel claustrophobic during the evening.
There were metal rails on all the windows which I believe is a huge safety hazard in the case of fire.
We couldn't connect to either of the two internet options they gave us, so the room has no wifi, even though they tell you it does.
There were 3 different noises during the night which made it difficult to sleep, the fridge, a clock and something like a ventilator coming from other rooms. Also there was a huge gap under the door and the corridor light is on the whole night, so there is a lot of light coming from there. I've put my luggage there to block the light. I guess what they save from not providing wifi, they spend on the corridor lights. Why did they have to be on? Save some energy and let us sleep.
The fridge was in a small cupboard, so apart from it being really loud, you cannot use the fridge as the door is blocked by the cupboard door. Yest they also claim they provide a refrigerator.
The bathroom was very small, but I didn't mind that much. However, when you showered, there would be water everywhere and it wouldn't dry even though I would turn on yet another loud ventilator (4th noise in the room) for hours. The shower edge that was supposed to keep the water in the shower was broken. Easy fix in my opinion.
They have better rooms as far as I saw, but they gave us this one. And I have stayed in Chania before same season, much better room and much cheaper. I do not recommend.

Very friendly and helpful owner. Spacious airy room with balcony. Great value for money. Amazing location. Easy walk to all sights, restaurants and beach. Recommendations of owner to local restaurants outside the touristy area were excellent and appreciated.
Nothing but note the room access is by stairs if you have mobility issues and the bathroom while very functional was small especially the hand basin.

The location was perfect. On beautifull street in the center of the old Chania town. Exceptional and very very friendly hosts. The best treatment and attention we have received from hosts so far. Room was cleaned every single day.
The room itself wasn't noisy at all, but the walls are bit thinner so you might hear the other guests sometimes. Although if you are planning to spend the day outside at the beautifull town, this won't be a problem.

Nice downtown so great to go out in chania. Please note that you will need to park somewhere outside of old town like at Piraeus area which is free, but busy.

The location is great, it is right in the center and very close to places were it is possible to find free parking. They were nice and lend us a sun umbrella.
It looks like there is no interest in making the place better and more comfortable for the guests. Some small things could be easily adjusted and that will increase the quality of the accomodation. For example, the toilette paper holder was rusty and there was a screw coming out from the wall. The balcony is more a storage place with random stuff than a space to enjoy, it should be organised and cleaned. Although they were entering in the room to clean it everyday, it didn't feel like it was properly cleaned. The room is quite warm so I would recommend to put a mosquito net in the window such that people can leave it open during the night. Double bed is too soft and the pillows are too low so we didn't really have a good sleep and that's bad when you are on vacation.
During our week in Crete, this was the accomodation we payed more and it is not a good value for money.
