Close to port and beach.
Bare concrete flloors, bare light bulbs, ,inconvenient layout of suute, lack of kichcen knives and whisk, no hot water after firsrt shower and none at all on third day.,street parking difficult to find.

It was really close to the sea and it has an interesting interior design.
We didn’t have hot water the first night and next morning(the solar panels didn’t heat the water enough).

It was a small apartment close to the beach , restaurants and a short walk to the harbour which had many shops and restaurants
We kept in contact with our hostess and she met us on our arrival and showed us around .

The property was clean and modern. The location was good as well. There is a baggage hold option which is helpful if you’re island hopping. The host was accommodating, friendly, and helpful. She was responsive via WhatsApp to any questions we had. If I returned to Chania I would stay here again and would recommend this option to others as well!

Large, comfortable area. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioner was great. Close to the beach and easy to walk to any restaurants and shops. Parking was tight at night but much easier here than in old town. Love the back porch with lots of space to dry our machine washed clothes.

Evans House is located in the Koum Kapi area which is about a 10-15 minute walk into the main hustle and bustle of Chania and its historic and tourist-draw historic old town. There is a mini market a few minutes walk from the apartment as well as a bakery next door to the mini market. The bus from the airport can drop you off at the Stadium bus stop which is about a 3-4 minute walk away. The sea front with tons of cute restaurants and cafes is barely a minute's stroll from Evans House. This is a quiet residential area and I felt very safe walking back to the apartment at night with my children. The apartment has outside lights that illuminate the building after dark which is a very nice touch.
We (family of 3) stayed in the apartment upstairs which is laid out in an open plan style. It had high vaulted ceilings, stone walls and everything we needed for a comfortable stay including great air conditioning (it was blisteringly hot during our July stay). We didn't wind up cooking so can't comment on the stove etc but having a washing machine was incredibly useful and there was a large clothes horse provided for us to hang up washing on the terrace. The terrace itself was gorgeous and I loved and appreciated all the beautiful plants that the hosts had placed around the terrace. It was very peaceful and relaxing to sit out there among the plants whilst enjoying a cup of coffee (there were three different types of coffee makers provided as well). There were also lovely olive themed toiletries (shower gel, soap, shampoo and body lotion) provided in the bathroom. The only minor suggestion I would make for the hosts is to perhaps install a few more hooks or an extra towel rail in the bathroom.
I had kept the host informed of my arrival including messaging about my flight delay and also sent an update when I landed in Chania but when I went to the apartment there wasn't anyone there to meet me and I had to send texts and tried calling the host a few times which went unanswered. It was a bit stressful but Dani the host showed up after 15 minutes and all was well. Even with this hiccup, it didn't mar my stay and I would still recommend it if you're after a beautiful, well equipped and comfortable apartment in the area.

The location to the sea was fantastic
They said there was going to be a cleaning service after 3 days but there was no cleaning service, so no clean towels or bedding.

The apartment is nicely renovated and well equipped. The location is great. The bed was super comfy. Kind staff.
The apartment is dark (gives a sense of being in a cellar) and cold, and the living room has no AC, so it's not really cozy if you want to spend time inside.

Comfortable bed, close to beach & nice host. Has a washing machine.
We thought we’d be on the 1st floor but we were in fact put into an apartment in a st behind the st that is advertised on www and the studio was below street level. Studio was unfinished looking & in a grungy looking st. Not so comfortable although the bed was comfortable. They need to have instructions in English on how to use cook top. We couldn’t get it going & to stay on. Asked for assistance & they quickly came to help & after quite some time, they got it to work, but didn’t know how they managed it and couldn’t describe how they did it. ?
