The hotel is in a convenient location, relatively close to metro and bus stations. The room was clean, the pool was small, but nice and the view from the rooftop where the pool is located is magnificent!

The breakfast was good, the facilities in the room were good, the espresso machine was good, the cleanliness was excellent.
They didn't have a luggage scale, which is one of the minimum hotel requirements. The receptionist delivered the room very late. Considering that I had written in advance, the receptionist's readiness was very poor. Room service hadn't even reached my room until 11 o'clock.

We stayed at Novotel Athens for the final leg of our trip — just the boys and me. The location isn't the strongest, but the free shuttle to the historic center made exploring Athens easy, as long as you plan around the schedule (both directions run on set times, so it pays to be prompt).
The hotel itself is large but shows its age. We had a triple room, fairly basic — the biggest downside was a strong carpet smell, though keeping the window open helped, at the cost of some street noise from our first-floor room. The bathroom could have been cleaner, worth noting. The real highlight was the rooftop terrace: a pool, sweeping views over Athens and the Acropolis, and golden-hour sunsets over the mountains that were genuinely stunning. The rooftop bar was a convenient spot for meals, snacks, and drinks throughout our stay.
Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety, buffet-style — even with the hotel fairly full, we rarely waited long to be seated, though the kids did have to queue a bit for the pancake station. Overall, a solid stay for the price, especially given the shuttle service and that rooftop view.

The location is very far from everything, Taxi is required as it was very hot during the day to go to the main attraction places which cost somewhere between 12 to 15 euros per ride, the staff are not helpful at all, the old lady at the buffet with black hair is very rude, I have never seen someone in the hospitality business behaving this way, we were sitting at the lobby and she told us to move to anywhere to wait for the taxi, this is so weird as lobbies in all hotels are considered, as a wiring areas.
Rooms are to small, the rooms were not clean at all, the toilets were dirty and smelly, the morning g buffet was so poor for a hotel, they could do better, at the welcome they did not even bother to even show us the room like other hotels, over all experience was horrible.
Staff need training.
I even cancelled my return booking and booked another hotel.
Coming from GCC, I won’t even rate it as a 2 star hotel.

We stayed in four different rooms on three different floors because we toured and returned four times. One of the great perks for us was the hotel policy of letting us store luggage we didn't want to take with us on tours for free in the hotel. Our rooms included a family room, a suite, and an executive room. We received a gift of honey each time we checked in. Also got perks like expresso and water. All the rooms were clean, as were the halls leading to them. Everything smelled fresh. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and prompt. We made an error in our reservations which could have cost us a great deal of money that the staff eliminated. Very impressive. Kids loved the pool. The free ride to and from the center of town was another great perk. In summary, we had a very enjoyable stay.
The family room was small for four people. I should have been more careful when selecting. The suite was better, but next time I'd definitely stay in the executive. The furniture, etc. could use a bit of an update. There was nothing wrong with it, it just looked dated.

The only positive thing about our stay was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was very welcoming, friendly, and willing to help, which we genuinely appreciated.
The AC in our room barely worked — it was actually colder outside than inside our room. If you’re considering paying extra for a balcony, don’t waste your money. There was essentially nothing to enjoy and no view worth paying for.
The location was also a concern. We weren’t familiar with the area, so we asked a staff member if it was safe to walk to the closest subway station, and unfortunately, he didn’t seem confident enough to give us a reassuring answer. That definitely made us uncomfortable about walking around the neighborhood.
We also had an issue with the hotel shuttle, which wasn’t at the designated pickup location at 2:15 PM, so we ended up having to call an Uber instead.

Very bad lication, not clean at all!! Rooms so small not recommended for anyone. Cockroaches are everywhere. Breakfast to oily so smelly couldn t pass by lobby! It was the worse stay ever!

Pool was ok but very little availability of deck chairs, maybe they had max of 10. The rest of the people has to install themselves in the restaurant chairs.
Breakfast very nice but must arrive max at 9h30 or you can run out of food or table availability - chaos.
Rooms are old and not very amazing.
Decent price and very good restaurants around, reception gave us a list of 6 and 5 of them were amazing.
