The hotel location was excellent for our purposes - we were able to take the metro from the airport (much cheaper than taxi and very easy to use). The hotel was extremely quiet and the beds very comfortable. The daily breakfast was wonderful - offering a great assortment. We typically skipped lunch because breakfast was so satisfying.
Nothing! It is an excellent hotel and we would definitely stay here again if we visit Athens.

The location first, it’s amazingly well located. The staff is super nice and accommodating, the room has everything you need, good AC, the view from the restaurant at the top is incredible

Perfect location. Room beautiful and clean. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was very good. Elegant, with a lot of variety. The rooftop restaurant’s food was very good with a fantastic view of the Acropolis

We loved the location. Didn’t realize how close we were to the Plaka area. There were so many great shops and restaurants around us. And the view of the Parthenon at nite was spectacular from the rooftop and our room.
The shower! You have to step into a deep bathtub to get into the shower and it was very slick. Very dangerous for older people. There was no shower mat for the tub so we had to put a towel into it. Getting out of the tub was even more difficult. No bars to hold onto. For this reason, I would not stay in this hotel again. Also, the property was dated. Very dated. The elevator was slow. And they only provided 2 small bottles of water. They charge for water after the first two. They are one of two hotels we have stayed in that charge for water.

We stayed at the Hotel Hera for three nights and loved it! Our room had a view of the Acropolis and the view was fantastic. The main things we wanted to see--the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, the Agora, the Plaka--all were within a 15 minute walk. The Acropolis Museum was only a 3-minute walk. The people at the Hotel Hera were very nice. They arranged taxi rides for us to and from the airport and to the National Archeological Museum. The breakfast was excellent. Very quiet place. Nice restaurants nearby. I recommend the Hotel Hera very highly!
