The hotel is very close to the University of Ghana (about 1km from the gate). This suited my purposes very well. All staff were friendly and helpful. And the Wi-fi was excellent.
The hotel has an old-world feel to it. In my view, this is part of its charm. It would be nice to be able to hold on to one's key rather than handing it in and collecting it from reception every time one goes out.

Overall, my stay at Orchid was really great. They were able to do a late check in for me. The staff were really kind and helpful. Breakfast was generous and filling each morning, I really liked that they had multiple options. I had no issues with the Wifi during my stay. The location worked well for me, I was attending a conference at the University so it was very easy to get there each morning. It is a bit far from the city center, so I would build in extra time planning to get to the city and back.
Initially, I was a little stressed about being given a PO Box. I wish that the address on book.com matched the address that pops up when you order an Uber from the hotel.

The Orchid Hotel is managed by a professional and courteous staff who work hard to fulfill your customer requests. I had a flight problem that made me cancel the original arrival date. The Orchid Hotel easily accommodated me and rebooked me for a new day. Mr. Fifi (Kofi), the hotel manager, and owner are attentive. When a problem arose, they quickly resolved to fix it. The Orchid Hotel is in a quiet location, though close to the Main Accra-Aburi Road and to the Accra Mall in Shiashie. It is easy to find transport to other parts of the city. They also offer an excellent full breakfast (oatmeal, eggs to your preference, toast, juice, and tea or coffee). The room is huge. The TV and Wifi worked well.

The hotel is small, but met or exceeded my expectations towards comfort, cleanliness and facilities, especially given the moderate price. Very nice staff, with immediate attendance and happy to help at any time.
The location is the only thing that is a bit suboptimal. For me it was good, because it was close to the university, but for other travelers it might be a bit too far off the city center. However, although in a quiet neighborhood, it is close to a major road and thus good to reach by car/taxi.

It’s very close to the airport. Lovely outdoor seating area. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast and lunch was nice . It was really nice and quiet.
I couldn’t walk anywhere form the hotel.

The staff was extremely kind and helpful, always in the desk giving me all information I needed with full of care and a feeling of safety. The location is near from Accra Mall, the airport, and other places (You can use Uber). The room was very comfortable with good facilities. You can find soap bars, shampoo, and shower gel in the bathroom. Air conditioning and Wifi is good enough. The customizable breakfast was tasty (I love Tom Brown a lot!). You can buy safe and cold water and other drinks if needed.
My room has no refridgerator though it did not matter for me.

Good quality! You can customise your own breakfast. The accommodation was very comfortable. The location is great and easy to find on GPS so Uber was never a problem. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood. I got sick while staying in Accra and the hotel staff made sure I was okay, got me in touch with a doctor and even organised for my medication to be collected. The staff are incredibly kind, hospitable and caring! I felt safe and well taken care of, especially considering I was a woman travelling alone. Would stay there again in a heart beat.
My aircon stopped working but they sorted it out. The wifi could've been better.
