The hotel is located at the heart of the medieval town, looking onto the marina. We were welcomed by friendly staff that had our key ready to go the minute we arrived. The rooms were spacious, nicely furnished overlooking the marina on the 2nd floor with a little balcony. The beds we large and comfortable with power outlets near the head of the bed on both sides. We didn't try the bar (closed) nor the restaurant.
There was an overall run-down feeling. Little details like 2 lights out of 3 were broken in our bathroom, or the door didn't close on its own, no stairs (you had to take the lift each time), missing buttons in the lift, etc. Avoid room 207 as it is located on the end of the hotel overlooking the Pirate restaurant that is very noisy early in the morning (6:30am). Avoid the breakfast. It's way too expensive for what is offered (small buffet, little choice, not much fresh, coffee from a machine). Two of our rooms had an awkard shower in a bath tub, no curtain, and a very short pipe, with nowhere to fix it to. The third room had a walk in shaower. Asthmatic hair dryer (like in many hotels).

Proximity to village and the water. Food was lovely.
We had a lake view from our room but couldn't see the lake due to the height of the trees. It would be lovely if the trees were trimmed so we could enjoy the view more.
Breakfast service was poor on our first morning as the restaurant was closed that evening so we assume the staff had the day off. Nothing was being refilled, such as orange juice etc. The next morning was fully staffed and the breakfast was good. Some cooked options would have been nice such as pancakes, or egg and bacon for instance.

Very good location. We booked a room with balcony and a lake view. The room we were given had a huge tree right outside so you couldn’t see anything. We asked to move and were given a better room on a higher floor, which had a lovely view.

The location by the lake front.
The overall decor of the hotel is dated as was the room we stayed in, and some of the light fittings were not working. The room layout is not very practical and the over bath shower is impractical and difficult to operate and use safely.

The room was a bit dated but clean and comfy
It was expensive and the check in staff not friendly or welcoming
The bathroom had only a bath with shower head but no bath screen
The reception area was difficult to find - you have to walk through the restaurant, in and out.
