The style of the hotel is truly exceptional. Nestling in a the natural surroundings of the lakes where Corot used to paint the integration is stylish and harmonious. A very exceptional setting for a personal stay.
The dark blue decor of my room, whilst not an issue for me, could be a factor of claustrophobia in certain people of a sensitive disposition.

Great location especially if you want to be in nature
My main reason for the visit was to show my mum Chateau de Versailles but not stay in Versailles this place is the perfect in between.
The Etang forest is just next to the hotel you can do your morning run in the forest and chill by the pond as you wish. We even walked over to Versailles its just less than 5km - Breakfast buffet was excellent and staff was lovely. Highly recommend for a chill weekend get away
Spa is really expensive and there is no discount for hotel guests which was odd to me

The spa was in a nice setting and very clean. The hallways and restaurant area were very nice.
The room overlooking the road made it less than intimate since it sounded like being in a motel off the highway with the traffic.
Also, for a four star hotel relais châteaux one would expect bathrobes and/or slippers to enhance overall comfort in the room.

The spa is only accessible during the weekend if
You book a treatment and they were fully booked, they did let us use it for an hour on the Sunday which was nice but it’s advertised as a spa hotel so it’s not ideal. Also the gastronomic restaurant was closed when we were there I think there is a gap between the website and the reality

This will be as brief as possible a summary of what was probably the worst hotel experience in decades of travel …..at a cost of over €715 for two nights, with no breakfast.
Check in: wouldn’t accept American Express, despite website claiming otherwise and having booked on Booking.com with that card.
They then used my Visa Credit Card and tried to debit me twice, resulting in my credit card being blocked. Took hours to resolve.
Duty manager dismissed my issues at check in: “29 other people have been fine”. Hardly a great attitude or way to try to resolve my issues
Later, the General Manager came to my room offering a free bottle of champagne - my wife and I could not speak properly with him at that time, as we were on the phone to Booking.com / trying to get credit card unblocked. The champagne never arrived.
Despite being a spa hotel, no spa facilities are available to guests, unless you have pre booked. It’s only open to customers on Monday to Friday. This was not made clear.
Waited in bar to be served on Saturday evening for over 15 minutes. We (my wife, me and a friend who was with us and experienced similar check in / check out issues) were not served so we left to drink / eat elsewhere.
Choosing this hotel for a weekend retreat was a bad mistake.
