The building, style and quiet location
Restaurant food was delicious however the menu was limited, which is typical of French restaurants but the menu was for one week so there wasn’t a lot of choice if you wanted to eat at the restaurant more than a couple of times.

Wonderful
For us it was the perfect location, a pleasant walk to St Paul de Vence, to the wonderful Fondation Maeght museum, and also the charming town of Vence above. It gave many opportunities to walk through old neighborhoods in the hills, where we were greeted by friendly locals. The staff and facilities were wonderful and we were very happy to be able to play tennis. Breakfast was delicious and thankfully offered eggs and bacon. Bed was comfortable and there was no noise. Bathroom nice and has shelf spaces.
We could easily take Uber to Nice where we rented bikes to go to Eze and St Jean Cap Ferrat.

The setting was lovely, staff friendly
Not one single English Chanel on the tv not even the news - would have been nice to relax in room with something we could understand, the bathroom floor could have been a lot cleaner - found a small plastic vanity bag on the floor - didn’t touch it and asked reception to get it removed which was promptly done but other bits of dust etc remained there for a couple of days . The window facing the main staircase on the first floor was filthy with cobwebs which I couldn’t understand as the rest were clean and this one is in full view - such a shame

The ambience of the whole hotel reception, bar and dining/breakfast was wonderful. The staff were attentive and kind. The location was well appointed. I would stay there again.

We are loyal customers of the hotel since 2016, mainly due to the good location and the excellent chef in the restaurant.
The overall quality of the place seems to be slipping. The staff changes every year, and they seem to lack interest and attention. The service staff in the restaurant is not up to standard. The pool area is kind of abandoned and the daily cleaning of the rooms unreliable. Clearly overall management attention to detail and customers has gone down. Kind of sad.

The room was fine, but not exceptional in terms of size or amenities, even though it is a deluxe room. Beds were very good. Towels and toiletries were good. Breakfast is very good. The pool is very nice, and the loungers in the pool area are nice too.
The staff at the reception are really very friendly, courteous and helpful! Late arrivals are no problem!
Apart from the fact that the expected luxury was lacking, it should be noted that the building structure of the house is a bit old. In addition, the hotel is very remote; primarily intended for guests who want to spend their vacation here. The single beds are rather narrow (80 cm).

- Location: It's located in the mountain, so very close to the nature. There are plenty of routes for hiking.
- Friendly staff

- A bit pricy considering the overall condition of this property

Exceptional
The setting was absolutely gorgeous- very peaceful and 5 minutes drive from St Paul de Vence. I was attending a party for the weekend so I did not hire a car but I would say it is essential to have a car unless you are just here for the weekend and don’t plan going anywhere else. We had two amazing formal dinners and casual lunches - the food was delicious and service excellent.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and our experience left much to be desired. The infrastructure felt outdated, charmless and clinical, giving off the impression that it was designed exclusively for senior citizens. The sonorisation of the room was abysmal, making it difficult to rest peacefully. To top it off, there were security concerns with personal items mysteriously going missing, only to be miraculously found back after filing a complaint. We also woke up with the door suddenly open. The cleaning service was also questionable, the room was dirty to begin with (killed insects everywhere) and the cleaning lady left the window-door open at the ground floor (so accessible for everyone to enter the room). The pool shows nice on pictures but does not meet expectations, has no shower and no nearby restroom (without having to pass in swimwear next to the reception). The overall lack of professionalism from the staff was disappointing.
