The owner and family couldn’t have been nicer. I had remembered this property from years ago and my husband and I booked it for our 2nd wedding honeymoon. Spectacular. Quiet , romantic, exceptional food, historical. But most of all we were treated as family.

Beautiful old chateau in a very picturesque part of the Dordogne Valley with easy free parking and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The dinner was spectacular and very reasonably priced considering the quality.
Coffee making facility in the room would have been nice - perhaps a kettle. Otherwise, all good.

Wonderful
A beautiful position overlooking the river. We had one of the cheaper rooms but it was charming and had a much appreciated fridge. The building itself was an enchanting old fortress chateau and even had a swimming pool tucked away in its walls. The meal was superb.

The location was absolutely stunning. Overlooking the Dordogne river with fabulous views across the countryside to cliffs beyond. Very peaceful and quiet.

The food in the restaurant was excellent but the menu limited if you were staying for a few nights.
The air conditioning did not work in our room as apparently the filter required cleaning. The hotel is situated on the main through road therefore noisy when the window was open.

Evening meal was unbelievably perfect. I was surprised that this restaurant did not have a Michelin star.
Breakfast was pleasant with good selection, and the room where it was served was exquisite.
Our room was a suite; the rooms were not terribly large but it had enough space for us

Beautiful setting, pool lovely and very welcome on 30c days, the owner was very welcoming, made us feel at home. The grandness of the breakfast room and views over the river from the terrace were awesome.
The steepness of the stairs but this in no way detracted from a wonderful stay. We hope to return one day.
