The staff made the difference. They were welcoming and helpful. There was secure parking. On the day of check-out, we left our car in the car park and dashed across the road to a shopping center. When we returned to collect the car. My handbag had been handed in, as I left it on the ground whilst packing the car. I had another bag, so didn’t notice, but it had our passports and a few items of jewelry in it. Thank you to the honest staff. Rare in this world!
The shower did have a bit of mold and the bedroom curtain was a bit torn. But otherwise clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was the best thing
rooms & public area filthy dirty. Hadn’t been cleaned after previous guests. Dangerous hairdryer hanging off the wall with electric wires exposed & all pipes , plumbing, heating works/ plant just had piece of wood in front of it instead of locked door which a child could have get in to & was dangerous in room 509. In room 221 items still in room on shelf from two times previous guests all covered in thick dust, toilet was filthy with long black hairs all over it. The decor was revolting, dark grey black & flooring black swirly pattern which made you feel nauseous to look at, decor obviously like this to try & hide the fact that it was dirty & never been cleaned.. no drink making facilities in rooms ,In reception pizza was offered for purchase, staff served this knowing that it was un eatable still frozen in middle . This happened to us & watched other guests have some problem each night. We were told to finish heating it our selves in the microwave which was in the seating area of reception specifically for this purpose. In all the hotel was a health & safety & food & hygiene hazard.Not sure how got out of there without food poisoning, salmonella or more serious diseases, injury. In all I would have asked for money back but when tried to speak to certain person at desk she pretended not to understand me and started to talk talk to the person behind me in the queue instead , rude staffing.

The location was very good as it was close to the shopping complex and only a short 20 min walk from the centre of Rue. The facilities within the room were somewhat clean, but it was bearable for a night. There was also underground parking which was safe and reasonably priced.
The room was quite small and there was a very heavy scent of cigarettes inside the rooms and in the corridor. The sheets and towels provided were quite itchy and the shower had no door which was annoying as the water went everywhere.

Disappointing
Location is perfect for a visit to the city centre. The staff were excellent and friendly.
Room was dusty with something running down the mirror the floor was very dirty and dusty. The bathroom was passable but had not been cleaned properly especially the toilet, The shower hose needs new washers as the water comes out everywhere. I suggest new housekeeping

What I appreciated most was the location and the availability of underground parking.
As for the downsides, the hotel definitely needs renovation. The window in my room was damaged, and the handle almost came off when opening it. The rooms were quite dark, and the overall atmosphere and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. In my bathroom, there wasn’t even any shower gel, which is something the staff and housekeeping should check before new guests arrive. A major downside was also the cleaning staff — they started knocking and waking guests shortly after 7 a.m. to clean the rooms, even though check-out is at 11 a.m. These are organizational issues and felt quite rude on the hotel’s part.

Coziness of the bed was on another level, loved that and the quietness of the whole hotel.. it might have been empty at the time of our visit, but it was very calming.
Shared floors might have been a bit cleaner, but it wasn’t a problem.
