The Hotel Morand is charmingly historic and incredibly located, and we spent a lovely night there. The staff were extremely helpful, and we were impressed with the overall experience.

The hotel was well located with easy access to several main attractions in Rouen, such as museums/art galleries but the room was quiet despite its central location.
Hotel was a little run down and didn't have an elevator. There was some confusion over a parking arrangement that the hotel had with a nearby parking lot, but this was resolved.

Smooth check-in even though I arrived late in the evening. Very friendly staff, great breakfast in a cosy setting, and a beautiful grey cat.
French pillows tend to be high.
If you find stairs hard to manage try and get a room on one of the lower floors.

We loved this hotel and the owner was very nice. The room and bathroom were big! There was parking in a nearby garage for our rental car--super convenient. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and it was very good.
There is no elevator, which was not at all a problem for us, but something to be aware of if you can't do stairs.

So sorry I didn't get his name but the Asian member of staff at reception was phenomenally friendly and helpful and requires special mention. Sorted my parking, and stay and could not have been more helpful

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was within easy walking distance to the old city and all sights and activities.
The parking was very close, convenient and secure. Underground parking lot was well lit.
The hotel is older but was very clean and well kept.
Breakfast was excellent. A wonderful typical French breakfast with lots to offer.
The young lady who checked us in was very friendly and made a great recommendation for a traditional French restaurant.
We would recommend. Great value for the price.

The people. The lovely, quaint surroundings. What I loved and will always love is Rouen. The breakfast was pretty good too.
I stayed two nights. The staff all leave at 10pm. They return at 6 the next morning. Between 10pm and 6am they will not reply to texts and all phone calls go directly to voicemail. The first night was raining cold and windy, clothes are wet from walking 20 minutes from the bus station in the driving rain. I arrived at 11pm. My shoes and socks were soaked. And my top floor room had no heat and no heater; the radiator didn’t work (I was told they were not allowed to turn it on by the government), and the one sheet and hospital blanket on the bed did nothing to warm. I texted and called through the night (11:00, midnight, 03:00, 03:30, by 05:00 I had given up). I was always polite and appreciative. They never replied to texts or calls. Terrible customer service. I did not sleep that night and it spoiled my full first day in (rainy) Rouen (wet shoes I couldn’t dry beside the radiator). The second day, I discover the proprietors are friendly people. They provided a thick blanket and a small floor heater which did the trick. Nice people, but below average facilities, and poor proprietors who leave the guests to fend for themselves (especially when they are pleading for assistance). Sorry Hotel Morand, but I’m looking out for the next wet, exhausted traveller.

Location was very good for a budget hotel and the interior was very quaint and French!
Room could have been a bit more spacious otherwise no complaints, didn't have breakfast so cannot comment.

The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. (Unfortunately, we were there during an unusual heat wave, and there is no AC, but that is not the hotel's fault!) The breakfast was very nice with a variety of options, including boiled eggs, granola, yogurt, dried fruits and nuts, in addition to the usual bread and pastries. The hotel is in a great location between the train station and the center of town. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Wonderful
Hotel Morand is less than a ten minute walk from the train station and easy to find. The hotel itself is a little worn around the edges, but it is clean and the staff is very helpful and professional. The breakfast is in what seems to be an old fashioned living room and is a pleasant place to enjoy breakfast, which includes many options. For one or two nights, I would recommend Hotel Morand
