Reception staff, friendly, helpful and did everything to make our stay enjoyable..This is our 3rd yr staying at this hotel and look forward to a 4th stay. Hotel has changed hands previous owner she retired, so needed refurbishments are on going we were upgraded to one of the newly finished rooms it was very nice
Guests smoking out of window and blowing into our room needing to close windows, made a complaint and it was dealt with swiftly we found...so big thankyou

The hotel was fabulous, it was in a great location to shops and restaurants, the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were quiet, spacious and very clean.The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was to a high standard. I would definitely recommend and stay there again without hesitation.
The WiFi signal was weak in areas and possibly could do with having some boosters to rectify that, but on the scheme of things it’s not really a big deal.

The location, the staff, the bathroom, all excellent. And it has private parking if you book in advance.
The location, although brilliant for the town centre, was awfully noisy very late into the night. The unbelievably loud music, singing and shouting from street and nearby bars continued until 3:30 AM. Then loud traffic noise started around 6:00. So No sleep at all. But none of it was the hotel’s fault and we felt terribly sorry for them. Maybe we were unlucky that night, so do check for planned events or activities nearby etc, but the hotel itself is very nice and the staff cannot be faulted.

The breakfast was excellent
I wasn't able to stay the second night as my ferry crossing was brought forward...I had to rebook for Dieppe.
I thought the manager could have been more sympathetic and perhaps contacted Booking.com for me and initiated compensation procedures

Great location.
VERY VERY outdated. The room hadn’t been renovated since the 70s I’d guess. Pink sink, pink tub pink everything. Felt very very run down and overpriced for the condition it was in. When looking at the photos on the listing it felt very deceptive. When I asked the girl at the front desk if they had a renovated room like the photos on our listing she said the renovated ones are just for old people lol. We are 50…apparently that’s not old enough ?
