I had missed my connection back to London after long delays on the train from the South of France. So the booking was very last minute, I had to queue for about an hour at Austerlitz for a taxi to get to the hotel and I was stressed, tired and hungry when I arrived at the Victoria Palace Hotel at around 10pm. The receptionist on duty, Logan, was exceptional. He was kind, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. If there is a staff award then Logan should definitely be in line for one. My room was quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. I will definitely come back to this hotel for a longer visit.

Breakfast was the highlight with cordial, warm and friendly staff, Fanta and Nina. Delicious spread. Gym was small but you book a private 45 min session which also includes a private sauna. You are alone in the gym - there is a rowing machine, elliptical and treadmill. There are some free weights (more like bean bags with a handle) The room is small but bed is comfy and on the firmer side, which I like. Very close to multiple metro lines - 12, 6 and 4. But the metro cards on your Apple wallet! Search for it! Saved us a lot of time.
Room was small Noisy in am with garbage pick up Noisy till 11 pm with bar across the street; we ate there and it has great food and lots of young locals)

Not well organized. Lifts Buddy with bedauert carriages Most of the time. We were rushed out two hours before Check out time…. Organization and coordination of staff should be improved. But the staff is very nice and polite!

We loved the hotel and the view from our balcony on our junior suite. The balcony was a very good size and we enjoyed mornings and evenings sitting outside. The hotel itself is very nice as well. Very quaint traditional style with cozy sitting rooms and and a courtyard with sitting area within the hotel.
The only downside and not really anything wrong with the hotel, it was a little further from St. Germaine Des Pres than expected. The neighborhood was very nice, just a little further walk than expected.

great location, comfortable bed and linens.
Make sure you ask for a room that is on higher floor. Our room landed right in front of the cafe/bistro accross the street which gets noisy at night.

The front desk by the entrance was almost always empty. Throughout my five day stay, no staff said hello or welcome to me.

Proximity of hotel, excellent. All staff spoke english and where extremely friendly and helpful.
Thevcombined bath tub and shower was a bit of a problem. Tub was very deep, so getting in and out was an more of an effort.
