The staff was so kind and helpful. The rooms, while small and showing a few signs of wear, were comfortable and clean. Water pressure was excellent. Air conditioner kept room very comfortable. The hotel has elevators, and serves an extensive buffet breakfast. It was close to two Metro stations and was about a 30-40 min walk from The Louvre, Notre Dame and other landmarks.
A few minor details that did not detract from the overall comfort of our stay: high tub was challenging to get in and out of for shower and could be dangerous, and a sulfur-like smell to water from the tap that would dissipate with running the water.

At night the republic square near by could be a bit scary with homeless people but honestly it’s very subjective to how scared you are at night.

The hotel is conveniently located next to La République with plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. We slept peacefully, and the room was soundproof. The hotel staff is very helpful and kind. They offered our baby a teddy bear as a memento. The street around is quiet. The AC is strong and really cools the air.
The suite could use some maintenance. We experienced many issues, like a broken toilet seat (which was fixed right away), a leaking faucet (which wasn't fixed at all despite having flagged the issue twice) and a shower door that wasn't closing properly (also an issue that wasn't fixed). The room is extremely tiny, with a weird design featuring a walk-in shower inside the bedroom with no curtains (so our baby couldn't sleep if we were showering), so we always had to plan our showers, something that wasn't very convenient with the heatwave that hit Paris while we were there. Having traveled with 2 checked-in bags and a carry on, the bags took up the room space once open on the floor. Unfortunately, a bag rack wasn't supplied either. The closet is super tiny. The toiletries are not refilled daily - only upon request, and housekeeping wasn't available 24/7.

The bathroom hair dryer was also pretty old and dated
would have been nice if the gym had more free weights

Very friendly staff, very clean and quiet room. We had all the we needed in the room and in the hotel. The location was perfect for us, we could many turist destinations on foot and the rest by bus or metro.

I had a wonderful stay at Le Général Hôtel in Paris. The hotel is stylish, comfortable, and perfectly located. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and everything was spotless. A special mention goes to Thomas at the reception, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay — he truly made me feel at home. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Paris!
